I don't reward myself with food. I eat what I want, in moderation. So I don't feel the need to cheat.

I used it for a month. Things felt a bit repetitive to me, which was a bit annoying. I didn't feel satiated after the meals, despite the calories. I know, because I've lost 50lbs, that you don't need to be "full", but for 500-700 calories, it felt a bit lackluster. Because the ingredients were "in season", it was really…

I'm not too terribly worried about gaining weight. Like I said, they're vanity pounds. My pack is only 18-22 pounds (depending on how much water I'm carrying) so that's really very light. My husband planned on taking MREs for the meals, each of those can pack 1,250 calories! Couple that with a few snacks, and I'd be set,…

I started to journal at the beginning of my journey. When I felt upset, I'd write down how I was feeling, what caused it and came up with three ideas to help. Then, I went for a short walk. I also found new, healthy hobbies and stopped going out for celebrations. Now, I still journal, but I have incorporated going out as a…

Excess calories cause weight gain. Some medications can make people feel hungrier, so if you don't count calories, you will gain weight. Some also cause you to retain water, which will up the number on the scale. But no, the medication will not cause you to gain weight alone. It doesn't matter how many stories people tell…

Personally, I think olive oil is essential. I think I use some every day.

I eat less food, move around a bit and lift heavy things. It's worked well for me.

I couldn't really think of anything.. I guess grocery store cupcakes. I bake, and mine are way better.

If you make meal plans, I would just make things that are versatile (he could add meat if he wanted to), then cook your food. If he wants to add meat, or doesn't want it, he can make it himself.

The store by me has frozen poutine. It isn't as good as fresh, but it's pretty great. I also really like Inner Peas, and their cheese selection is great.
-
Cheese is actually too delicious for some people. That causes them to be angry and resentful, so they try and take it away from others.

From what I've noticed, the "military diet" consists of chow hall food, Taco Bell and alcohol. Go for it.

Basically what you're telling me is the secret to weight loss is walking backwards, while eating in the dark Walking forwards causes you to gain weight, and walking backwards burns those calories.

STDs are just souvenirs you forgot you paid for!

Yes, but only if you hop on one foot. You can trust me, I took a class once.

Get 5 goats. Find a mountain, carry each one up individually. Sacrifice the goats on a Tuesday with a full moon on an odd numbered day. Light 3 candles and spin counterclockwise. The toxins in your body will run away, and you will be fine. Forget that your body detoxes itself, science doesn't real.

I made broccoli cheese quinoa cups, they were good. http://mywholefoodlife.com/2015/01/09/broccoli-cheese-quinoa-bites/

I really don't like the idea that people are jealous. I think that's kind of an immature thought, and it reminds me of what my mother told me when I was 12 and got braces. If OP's friend is in good shape, I doubt he'd be jealous over missed workouts. If you don't want their input, tell them to stop. Say something like "I…

Where did you get your degree in armchair psychology?

Alton Brown totally breaks into my house and forces me to eat over my maintenance. Damn you, Food Network!

It's hard, but nothing is more satisfying that hunting my own Cheetos and gelato. They're hard to catch, but nothing easy is worth doing.
-
This is why I only hunt my food wearing a loin cloth, like my ancestors. The people in the grocery store look at me like I'm crazy, but it's the only way to survive.

Moderation: better than sad pizza.

I think I can relate. I think the process becomes a bit tedious and frustrating. I love to bake, and I have been working on my skills for a while. This weekend, I made my first detailed cupcakes. After I finished them, I felt disappointed because I didn't like them, and thought they looked bad. I put them up for a few…

I weigh myself twice a day.

$150/week for a family of 2, we rarely eat out so we make all meals at home. I live in Southern CA. Hopefully it will go down in a few months when we finally get to leave this place!

It gave me the power of invisibility, so now I can sabotage the diets of everyone around me.

If I avoid nitrates, how will I get my super powers?
-
Nope- I lost 50lbs. I gained self-control and learned about moderation. You can also lose on more than the minimum calorie amount. A 600 calorie treat, once a month, won't make you obese.
