  • I read them all and yes I agree not the best written by far, but they are a quick fun read. They will not win any prizes but they getting lots of women to read and then have fun with their husbands...and isn't enjoying yourself what reading should be about. So that in my book makes them good books. The first two were my…
  • Check out the Eat More to Weight Less group. It is great!
  • Texas Rangers...we even named our son Kinsler. :) However, Josh Hamilton is my fav.
  • I have to admit, I love this thread. So much education going on. :)
  • I don't remember the specifies but when you get the book it tells you other exercises to replace those you can't do at home. Send me your email address and I can send you my workout spreadsheet and it lists the replacement exercieses. :)

  • Check out the group Eat More to Weigh Less, there are a few hundred of us over there. :)
  • I've never heard of it, but I'm fairly new to lifting. But I will check it out, thanks!
  • I don't have any advice, but hopefully one of the other ladies will. I hope it works for you!
  • Yup, you have the right info. It should answer a ton of your questions. Come back if you have more. :) Also, I don't know about the iPad, but on my Andriod phone I can go to myfitnesspal.com and access the community. It isn't ideal because you have to constantly zoom in to read, but it works.
  • For future reference, I like this websites calculations too. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Also, you might want to check out the Eat More to Weigh Less group here on MFP. Tons of info there about TDEE. :)
  • I completely understand what you are saying because I have been so annoyed and frustated recently too. I feel like I am working harder for this then I have worked for anything...yet it is coming soooooooooooooo slow that it appears to be at a standstill. Not that I don't have my bad days too. And I have friends that are on…

  • I have 2 1/2 year old boy/girl twins. I always wanted one child, but was blessed with two. They are by far the greatest thing in my world...while also being the hardest. :)

  • I am not an expert: but in my opinion, if you have multiple days where you have to eat back up to your BMR then your activity level probably isn't figured correctly. ETA: I have a day here and there that I have to eat back up to BMR, but maybe once a week when I get carried away with cardio. :)
  • I would think with you exercising 6 days a week you are moderate exercise not light. And that would increase you to 2100 for gain muscle, lose fat. Since your BF% is already so low you might want to choose the build muscle option. Which even with light exercise is 2000. And yes, I think it is easier to just eat the same…
  • I think they suggest such low calories intake because it usually works...for a certain period of time at least. I don't think they plan to keep their patient/client on such low calories for an extended amount of time. However, that doesn't mean I agree with it. I have quite a bit of weight to lose but can not survive on…
  • Need to read later...
  • I have no idea...but I'm jealous. :)

  • I LOVE this answer! I stopped drinking diet soda for over 3 months and was expecting to feel better...I felt nothing but the overwhelming sense to have a huge Diet Dr Pepper. So I drink one a day now...some days I might have two...but then some days I have none. I believe it is all about balance, I can't completely stop…
  • I love Popchips and the hopsital that I work at has them in the cafeteria. But otherwise they are very hard to locate in my rural area. But I have discovered that Special K Cracker Chips are almost identical...the southwestern ranch flavor is GREAT!

  • Sounds like you have already made up your mind but I'll add my two cents anyway. :) I would go for Chalean. Because you are so close to your goal that you could probably use more strength training to tone and build muscle which will in turn help burn the last of the fat you want gone. I did 5 weeks of Chalean before my DVD…
  • Kiki, I seriously would like to jump in your brain and swim around a while...even if that sounds weird! :) If you lived anywhere near me I'd be using you as a trainer in a heartbeat!!!
  • I would definitely use what Insanity recommends. It takes into account the intensity level of the workouts you are doing. Insanity is very intense and therefore you need more calories to sustain.
  • You, my friend, are a true inspiration! I was stalking your pics last night when I was feeling down about my slow progress. :) You are dedicated to health and I greatly appreciate the oppurtunity to learn from you on my own journey!
  • I totally agree with this, I love that they look real and struggle completing the entire workout just like me. :)
  • I am only on week 2, but it has been great so far! I get bored VERY easily with most workouts. But Insanity seems to be challenging enough that I won't get bored. I borrowed it from a friend, but I was just about to purchase it before my friend let me borrow his. I think you will be happy with your purchase...it is HARD,…
  • This statement is not accurate for everyone in this group. I might be for some but it is not the aim of this group. My goal is set to 15% off my TDEE and I log all intentional exercise and even on my days of cardio where I do Insanity I still "net" above my BMR.
  • This...and I so wish I wouldn't have read this entire thread because it just made my head swim. I understand you have the best of intentions, but what you are trying to explain is obviously too complicated for most of the individuals that come on here to lose weight. Some don't even know that they are doing harm to…
