I had a lot of success with P90X, P90x3, insanity, and Body Pump. I am starting Body Beast and hope to get back to where I was. I lost a lot of weight by working out and tracking on MFP combined.

I love Jillian Michaels workouts but I don’t know if she streams. I do Beachbody on Demand and I love it. I used to buy the DVDs, so this $99 a year saves me money.

MFP is very effective! You don't realize how much you're eating until you start tracking. I also love that it tracks carbs, protein, etc in addition to cals. Together with a good workout program, you will lose weight guaranteed.

Use caution at about 130grams of protein per day. It depends on weight and size. I do 40% protein.

Cardio burns fat. But you also need strength/weight lifting because you need to build muscle to burn fat while you sleep. Muscle increases your metabolism so that you don't regain the weight you are losing. A mixture of cardio and strength is good.

You can do it!! Let me share what has helped me lately: I make my breakfast bigger, dinner's smaller! Eat carbs only early in the day. You can do this!! Weight gain doesn't happen overnight, neither weight loss. But you can lose 100 lbs in one year in a healthy manner!!

I know people that are at least 50-60 lb overweight doing this. Jillian has other DVD's out that you could probably start with. But, if you want to start this one - nice and slow, I say go for it! I've been doing circuit training (30 day shred, and 6 pack abs) for over 2 months. Before that, I was just doing the elliptical machine. 6 - 7 times per week.

It happens when I'm working - for example, read an email from the state auditor, jumped to 117. Early in the morning it was in the 80-90s, but all afternoon it has been over 100. I'm an accountant.
