  • My husband ended up with medication induced asthma due to blood pressure medications. Until you have your diet and lifestyle habits solidified, I would ask to try a different blood pressure medication. There are a ton of options. I think you can work with your doctor to get a plan to get off the medications! If he won't…

  • I am in my late 30s and have a resting heartrate of between 38-44 per my fitbit. I really struggle to get my heartrate above 150 and it goes down very quickly! I have always wondered if this is a bad or good thing, but I have seen a cardiologist at three different points in my life and they can't find anything wrong (i…
  • I'm having the same issue. I just disconnect each night and then I know where I'm at. Luckily i don't eat back all my exercise calories.
  • I find April Lauren on YouTube to be inspiring. She is trying to lose 200 lbs and is sharing her journey. She is very sweet and I find her calming. :)
  • I like to pre-log because I am also hitting macros and its hard to "wing it" with those. So I usually have about the same 3 types of meals for breakfast and rotate week to week. Then I put in my lunch and dinner plans. Snacks are where I balance out with my remaining calories and macros. So if I am having a big dinner, my…
  • I'm kind of doing it...which probably obliterates the point. I drink the water (i read that it was 1 gal or 128 oz), which isn't that hard...i've always drank a lot of water. I do the reading which is good for me and 10 pages is easily accomplished for me in 10 minutes or less. I don't have 45 minutes twice a day for a…
  • I don't want to go totally off topic here, but please give your body and your mind some time to adjust to this huge life change. Having a baby is HARD! Having a baby with other children at home is even harder! I know its tempting to want to lose it all so fast, but you are healing and its a stressful time. You are doing a…
  • This is interesting...I've noticed that I have more cystic acne (I'm well into my 30's) while losing weight. It so annoying!
  • My mom (64 with diabetes) and my dad (65 with COPD) contracted covid. My dad was able to recover on his own. My mom was sick for about a week and then got very bad. She went to the hospital and was immediately transfered to a large hospital by ambulance. At first she was on a high flow of oxygen, but eventually she was put…
  • I agree with the others! You can get hurt doing many types of exercise if you don't learn proper form and go too hard! I have to remember that I am my competitor, not the other gym-goers! With that said...my crossfit gym always has scaling options. I regularly scale the workouts. Today we did a dumbell workout and the RX…

  • I'm a C cup and I bought some from old navy. They don't have a cup lining, but they have two layers which make them more discreet. There are some that are like a criss-cross back one that I purchased and really liked and I just bought another.
  • I think the program depends on your current fitness level. I liked 80 day obsession, but it could be too much for a beginner. 21 day fix would be a good way to build up a base level of fitness. I think this is a great way to get moving for little investment.

  • Thank you so much for the recommendation on the podcast and the blog post. I will have to read and listen to it.

  • I do. I know that I gain 3-5 lbs a day or two before and then I retain that through ovulation. After ovulation I drop a lot. :) It's a big drop. I used to get frustrated, but now I know why the scale is up.
  • Does this help with facial hair?

  • I usually workout in a gym with no mirrors. Last night I tried a class in one of the group fitness classes that is more of a studio with big mirrors. I noticed that I'm getting some guns! Seriously my arms are slimming down and showing some serious muscle that I've built with lifting.
  • I did a max deadlift in the early summer and it was 135lbs for one rep. Today I did a max 3 rep and I hit 165!
  • This morning I was going to go to a 7:30 step class. I woke up a bit late but hurried around and was only going to be about 2 minutes late for class (I've got it timed to the minute). I got in my car to leave and realized my husband was parked behind me. So I ran into the house, got his keys and jumped in his car...only to…
  • I am not a beachbody coach or anything like that, but I used their on-demand workouts when I was starting. There are a variety of workouts at different levels. You don't need to eat their meal replacements or anything that they are selling. A lot of them combine body weight with other weighted exercises. Some of my…
  • I'm having the same problem.

  • 2019 April - took me some time to figure out all this weigh-lifting stuff, but finally I've started to see some results - here I had around 16 kilos more than in the first picture (now I'm slightly cutting for summer hah) oops, sorry for such a long post, but I wanted to share it with someone who can actually appreciate it…
  • I'm going to chime in here as a woman. Weight loss is impacted as well by your monthly hormones. I track my cycle in another app and I know that one to two days prior to my period arriving my weight will go up 2-3 lbs. It doesn't matter what my eating habits are or if I'm exercising. Also - I won't drop that weight until…
  • Has anyone done chisel and hammer? I'm looking for the next program. I like lifting best and have done 80d obsession and am finishing up LIIFT 4 in a few weeks.
  • I'm so sorry somone did this! How rude!
  • Did you take photos? Full body photos in the same outfit are a good indicator of changes. I'd take some now, keep going and take more after 10 more pounds. You are on the right path, keep going. Even if you don't feel like the changes are visible, I guarantee you are putting less pressure on your joints and your health…
  • I'm not sure who posted this, but I thought it was kind of funny and fitting. "There is no wagon." You ate more for a while. That's ok. What is important is that you continue to make progress. Perhaps it is easier to keep going if you reduce the deficit a bit. Maybe by 25% or something like that. Even an extra 100 calories…
  • I feel the same way! I don't have hips, but I do have a chest and if they don't go in on the waist they look like a box! My mom can alter things, but she's 4 1/2 hours away. I could alter my own if I had a serger as well. As it is, I've taken a few things in at the was to help.
  • I'm finishing up 80day obsession. I got great results. I didn't follow the nutrition, but used MFP instead. I liked the pace. I don't think its as intense as some of the other ones and there is more lifting. I am planning P90X3 next. :)
  • I totally get this feeling. One of the things that I do is to tell myself that I don't need motivation, I need determination. Results come with consistency. You can plan treats or have off days, but if you are mostly consistent you can do it. Also - self control is a muscle. So the more you stick to your plan, the easier…
