I actually started this on the 8th. I needed to get some sort of strength training in to go with the running I like to do. This at least is getting me started in that area.

I'm 5'4, 174 currently. My goal is to get down to 135. I will need to read again on changing to TDEE-20%. I know I did that for a few months with no change. But again, maybe I wasn't doing something right. And with my flex, I do realize that it probably is low in calculating. I did have low days this past week and it…

BMR was based on age, weight and height. Have no idea about the rest of BMR questions. I have never had my bodyfat measured. and never compared anything to anyone else. I'm not sure how to calculate lean body mass vs. fat, muscle mass etc. Overall, my weekdays tend to be lower calorie days and my weekends tend to be…

For my calorie burn, I do use a fitbit flex which at least gives me a more accurate picture rather than me guessing. Gross: 1500, 1580, 1149, 1470, 1378, 1699, 2161. I have a food scale that does liquids as well and I was measuring everything (still am, since I did figure a week wasn't enough data) I do realize my daily…

I had mine fixed once because of it being so high. But I have found more and more that, it doesn't register my login from my phone, so I gave up trying to increase my login number. It was sad when I hit over 200 and got put back to 0.

I have noticed that sometimes my activities would double up because of fitbit. I have the flex now (had the zip). Because I have MFP, Runkeeper and fitbit all connected, when I log my runs on runkeeper, it syncs to MFP. It appears it deducts the activity from the fit bit adjustment so that it doesn't double up. Before I…

I have had a hard time getting motivated to exercise again. I did great the first 7 months this year (was training for a half marathon) and did keep up with running after my race. But when I wasn't seeing the scale budge even with the exercise I was doing, I kind of let up a little. I bought a food scale to watch my…

Just out of curiosity, have you all thought about just creating a group here? rather than extending a thread? Kinda of like your own board? or maybe you tried already and this works better.

ok my husband HATES water. He has looked for just flavored water in the stores, but they are all sweetened in some fashion and he can't drink anything with any kind of artificial sweetener and he really doesn't want the sugar either since it's then just as bad as soda. So we tried the flavor bottles that are sold…

wow. As a parent, I would never do that to my child. For your height, your current weight is actually normal. As others have said, I'd recommend a dietician/nutritionist and counseling about the food disorder. Getting to the root of why you did that- will help in liking your self-image now and help prevent you from going…

Nice! I'm not that far away from the "overweight" level and looking forward to it. Keep going! Before you know it you will have a normal BSI!

Thanks for the responses!

I have found I keep the small chocolates in the house to help me. I like the dove dark chocolate. I have found by planning some of my days to include the chocolate- I tend not to go over board with it anymore. One day isn't going to break things- it's if you get in a habit of doing it every day. I would keep healthy snacks…

It's been years since I was in WW, but I found that I couldn't maintain my goal weight because I was always starving. And I'd gain as soon as I went over my "points". I've newly started adding friends (being on MFP for a while and just didn't take advantage of the community part of this site) and just seeing people in my…
