I'm really glad I read this after only my first 5x5 workout :) Thanks everyone!

That's all I could find, too :(

I'll definitely be checking this out!!

I've sent you a request :)

Hi! I'm coeliac, and while I do still have GF bread on occasion, it's not a big part of my diet. Lunches for me are usually similar to what I'd have for dinner (in fact, lunch is often leftovers from the night before!) If you have access to a microwave, then I'd suggest anything that's easy to make extra servings of…

Some call it "lite", I call it "chemical sh!tstorm".

One of my goals is to look great in ALL of my clothes - if that happens to include a bikini, super! If I'm rocking a one-piece then that's awesome, too :)

I'm glad to find this here - I was considering writing a post full of questions, but you've answered them all :) Thanks!

"How to lose weight and hair through stress and poor nutrition" Sounds... awful.

Amazing! You are doing SO WELL! You should be really, really proud of your efforts - physical and mental :)
-
Phenomenal results! Well done!

Try having a glass of warm milk, sweeten it just a little if you must. It'll make you feel like you've had something and will probably help you fall asleep, too.

If something spontaneous comes up and you haven't planned for it, enjoy it and don't stress if you end up a little over. Then for the next day or so, try to save a few calories - even if it's only 50 per day, if you do it for 4 days you've got 200 back! - and/or add an extra 10 minutes to your workouts. Remember to enjoy…

Even better - we'll help you find your own willpower :flowerforyou:

I'd really recommend you avoid laxatives unless you are extremely constipated and nothing else has worked. Regular use of laxatives can lead to a sluggish bowel, meaning you need to keep taking laxatives because your body can't do the work itself anymore. Go with HEAPS of fibre - supplements if you have to, but lots of…

This looks like a really useful tool - I'll check it out later. Thanks!

Apple juice has almost no fibre in it. Cloudy apple juice has some, but really you're better off just eating the apples whole. Edited to add: everything else is good advice though :)

Carrot sticks with salsa killed my former Doritos addiction :) I'd go for fresh fruit over dried as it's much more filling. Try dicing an apple or pear and eating it one piece at a time. Or thin slices and dip it into yogurt.

I tried living paleo for a while and decided it wasn't really for me - at least not at this point in my life. I'm back to eating grains, but I learned a lot from paleo: dietary fat is NOT bad for you, and processed foods can make you feel like crap. I've cut out most "extra" sugars (i.e., sugars that aren't naturally…

Melbourne born and bred :) Friend requests are welcome.

You might enjoy the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. I find them kind of trashy and fun :)

I loved those books, but felt the last two were not as good as the first four. (and it's Jean M. Auel, by the way, but I know exactly who you mean!)

Hi! A few of my favourite books: Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte Watership Down - Richard Adams The Book Thief - Marcus Zusak Middlesex - Jeffrey Eugenides A Man in Full - Tom Wolfe I also enjoy reading young adult fiction, and particularly love the His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman, and the Harry Potter series by…

All so true!

Yes, I do this. I haven't written them down anywhere, but I know what they are - at least my first two, then it's a matter of assessment to work out how far I want to go. As of this morning, I'm 0.2kg away from my first goal :)

I am a 20-something AND a college student! Can we do this for literacy as well as for science?

Hello and welcome! I hope you'll find plenty of support and information on living gluten free here. I've personally been living with Coeliac Disease for most of my life following diagnosis at 3 years old. I was a very sick child but am now largely asymptomatic, which is both a blessing and a curse. Good luck, and don't…

Officially, once per week on Friday mornings. Unofficially, up to 3 times per week because I'm curious!

I stopped seeing dietary fat as an enemy and started moving every day. I stopped believing that "diet" products count as food and started emphasising whole/barely processed foods. Food is much more satisfying and even tastes better these days :)
