  • Wishing the best of luck on your journey. Welcome to MFP!
  • Really there are too many things to take into consideration to tell you what size you would be. People of the same height and weight can really vary in clothing sizes due to body mass composition and body shape. Sorry, but to be truthful there is no easy answer to your question.
  • I got my copy of the dvd set from amazon.com! Oh, and I love both Turbo Jam and Zumba!
  • I rarely meet my calorie goals; however, mine is 1600, not 900! I used to only eat around 800-900 calories a day, however I was gaining weight. What I learned was that, even though I was not hungry, because I had done this long term my body was in starvation mode. It was holding on to everything that I ate. A dietician…
  • On days that I ache all over from exercise, I walk. Yep, walk. It helps release the lactic acid build up that causes the soreness. Hope this is helpful.
  • I'm game!
  • I'm game!
  • I suffer from PCOS as well. It is horrible! I have found that eating a little more works for me, although the hormone swings definately are reflected on the scale. Weight loss comes very slowly because of the chemical and hormone imbalances in our body.
  • Thanks! I've suffered with stretch marks since I was a teenager, and now have vericose veins as well thanks to weight yo-yo syndrome. Will definately try the Bio Oil!
  • I have never ate all of my calories! I was in starvation mode, and have slowly been adding calories back to that I do not gain weight in the process; however, I cannot seem to eat more than a set amount in any day and cannot eat if I am full.
  • I also know what an feeling it is to finally be able to wear your wedding rings again. I finally reached that goal a couple of weeks ao! That success was so very sweet! Keep up the awesome work!
  • All Add requests welcome.....we can all use all the support we can get!
  • Add me if you wish! I've only been on the site for a month and LOVE it!
  • I have a pair of the shorts, for my hips and thighs. Every time I wear them when exercising, they are soaked when I take them off. I have noticed that my celulite isn't as bad (although I still have a LONG way to go in that area)!
  • Welcome!!!! I too am a long time dieter. I have been using MFP for only a month and have lost almost 8lbs! It really does work.
  • I'm feeling your pain. It's extremely hot here right now. My suggestion would be very early morning, or at night......outside while it's cooler. Good luck!

  • I still haven't figured out why everyone is so embarassed by sex. It is the most basic part of life!
  • I have the dvd set and try to do them at least 3-4 days a week. I love it!!!!

  • I actually gained weight using Curves. No I did not gain muscle. Curves was a one year money pit for me; I do not recommend joining Curves to anyone! As for the weight loss, as you get closer to the "healthy" weight range, your body will try it's best to hold on to the extra pounds. Normally, the last 10 are the hardest to…
  • Remember that this is a lifestyle change-not a diet! Sometimes we will go over in categories, and fall short in others. If you really want that sub, and you stay withing your calories goals-go for it. Otherwise you will just end up feeling deprived, and perhaps that will lead to worse results that going over your carbs!
  • Welcome! I too am a stay at home mom with a lot of weight to lose (60lbs)......I have found that being accountable for your exercise and calories really works-I lost 2lbs my first week. Also, there is a LOT of support here! Best wishes!

  • Happy Birthday!!!! I believe that you should enjoy your day without stressing out. Sample whatever you want. This is a lifestyle, not a diet. This means that you are not "cheating", only celebrating! On a side note, I'm the same height as you and would kill to make it to your starting weight! Actually, my final goal is…
  • AWESOME! I hope I have the same results!
  • I usually burn anywhere from 350-650, depending on how hard I actually work.

  • I expect setbacks! I expect delays. I expect life to happen during the process. Your plan of adding calories back very slowly is what I'm doing now, and so it seems to be working. My target is 1600 calories (pre-exercise); this is double what I had been taking in. I also am trying my best to not make them empty calories…
  • I started out by upping my calories quite a bit. But then had problems maintaining that calorie intake level and have since slowed down the process. I started out averaging appr 800 calories a day. I am up to 1000-12000 and finally lost the first pound. I also am exercising 2 days on, 1 day off. At this point I'm just…
  • Ok, so in order for me to start losing weight, I may have to gain a little more first? My doctor said this also. Interesting because I have gained 7lbs prior to losing the first one............it's all starting to make sense.
  • You may be building muscle mass. Increased muscle mass will add weight until the fat comes off. Also, one thing you can do is have your body fat measured. A higher weight can be fine as long as it is muscle instead of fat.
