  • Thanks - and you're so right, definitely helps to have a team cheering us on! I'll send a req on to you
  • It's so cool to have so many of us lifting heavy - just back from a session with my PT doing front squats and while I'm really light on them while I figure out my form, I'm still feeling awesome
  • I've not long started lifting about 9 weeks ago and I'm loving it! Still quite light: 115kg trap-bar deadlift, 82.5kg squat and my bench is only at 35kg or something (definitely my weakest!) ☺️ would love to have some more lifters on my feed so anyone feel free to add me! (On phone so it's not letting me easily add people…
  • Looks like you've made some awesome progress! And thanks for the tips...just need to get my motivation head on now!
  • All these stories are amazing - thank you all so much for the inspiration! Go all us shorties  Tammy - you have the EXACT same end goal as me. I started at 203, I want to be 128 by the end too. Sounds like our stats are SO similar! Feel free to friend me if you like?
  • Wow - I always actually used to pride myself on weighing everything really well. Salads etc I'll add to my plate as it sits on the scale, that kind of thing. But as for bread / crackers etc - if it says 1 cracker = 19cals then I usually just take that as read. Going to make sure I'm MUCH more careful and weigh absolutely…

  • Ta everyone for the great advice... Definitely not trying to spot tone - wouldn't it be amazing if we could though? :) But yeah, i've lurked here for a wee while and know that's not going to be possible. Was more wondering whether doing specific targeted workouts would be better spent doing other things...which by the…
  • Everyone looks AMAZING - well done! The transformations are just out of this world! (And thank you everyone for sharing!) x
  • Ooh thank you - I tried to search but couldn't find anything :) thanks for linking though!
  • Firstly, AMAZING tattoos...! Well done too, you look awesome!
  • Thanks - that's great! I'll stick with the lower number then, and not worry if I eat back the calories...their stuff looks fab, anything to get a bit more active :)
  • Hiya - feel free to add me! I need to lose 78lbs roughly (that number makes me sad)... but happy to have friends to motivate (and help keep me motivated!) :)
  • Okay...here goes. Just for today... - I am going to drink more water (in part to combat this headache I have right now) - I am going to avoid alcohol at the hotel bar - I am going to stick to a healthy lunch, to limit the damage done with the hotel food - I am going to be less anxious about not having control over my food
  • Go you! Sounds like you're in a great place...feel free to add me :)
  • I'm amazed by all the replies - thank you everyone...they're all really informative. I did have the thought that IBS was meant to be an elimination diagnosis - although I've had recent blood tests so I guess the doctor was happy enough with my general results (thyroid function etc all checked) - had my celiac blood test…
  • Wow, that really sounds like she's been through the wringer with it...hope she's doing well now...
  • These are all great suggestions, thank you all so much! It definitely sounds like there could be a gazillion different things triggering it...the low-FODMAP diet sounds like a good plan, there seems to be a few people who've given it a try anyway. It looks as though I might benefit from seeing a nutritionist perhaps. It's…
  • Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply... the list of generally safe foods is really helpful, thank you! I eat a LOT of bread at the moment (also not great for dieting as it makes me crash and get hungrier!) so I'll maybe try to limit that and processed foods for a while and just keep an eye on how my symptoms are…
  • This is all great info - and I'm sure people who know more than me will be able to give you much more detailed responses and advice. All I would say, is that it sounds like you measure some of your food but not all. As much as you say you've learnt how much 50g of X is etc, it's really not accurate. While you're struggling…
  • Hey - best of luck with it all! I'm also 5'1" and I'm back at my heaviest (over 200lbs) so if you fancy a friend with similar goals, feel free to add me
  • You're looking great - well done! Always happy for new friends on here, if you want to add me
  • Same here - happy for anyone to send me a friends request. The more like-minded people on here, the better for me
  • This is definitely one of the best motivations I've heard - make me chuckle. I'm totally stealing that - I wanna be Robin :)
  • Thanks so much for your reply - good to know that I'm not alone. I've decided to remove the FitBit adjustment, just go with a set amount of calories per day so that I'm not making allowances for if I've walked/not walked a lot that day. Really helps, thanks  Also really great advice - I sometimes get the chance to…
  • I'm in for this!... got a LOAD of social events, and my weight loss is doing nada right now, despite some (fairly) strict logging, and booze is usually the culprit... so would be great to manage to go to social events and not feel the need to have a drink! :)
  • Fellow wino here...I struggle to have just one glass (and that's a large one, at that!) and I end up making terrible food choices after a few. I really should try to cut it down - and for me it might be cutting it out completely for a while.
  • Ooh this looks great! Thanks :)
  • Doing a wee bump for myself for later so I can download this Excel wizardry when I get home - looks AMAZING!
