Hi, I live in France and bread (croissants, pain au chocolat, pain au raisin, etc) are my biggest problems :-). French diet is pretty balanced though, you can eat lots of vegetables, salads and fruits. If you'll be in Paris, most likely you will be walking a lot, so there you go for your exercises :-). Have a good trip!

I am not an expert but I think that you should never eat below your BMR. Personally, what I did was to set up MFP with my BMR (1,600) and I eat those calories. My TDEE minus 20% is around 1,900 but as I don't log some things, like ingredients (how would you know the ingredients used in a restaurant for example) so I know…

I LOVE sweet potatoes. The other day I was browing on youtube and found the easiest recipe from Laura in the kitchen. I did it and it's wonderfull. Just look 'laura in the kitchen sweet potatoes' and you'll see :-)

I'm 5'7" and 193lbs. I want to be down at least 25 pounds but after 4 weeks haven't lost anything :-(. I first started eating 1,200 cls/day and after a couple of weeks I increased it to 1,500 cls/day but still nothing. I agree that getting up half an hour or 45 minutes earlier is not a bit difference and I've always heard that exercising in the morning is the best. I am definitely trying it.

Thanks. I just increased because I wasn't getting any results while eating 1,200 cals. I should have said in my post that I am 5,7" and 193 pounds. I try to make good choices when I select my food but I think that sometimes I eat too much carbohydrates...not too much fat though.

Today is my 3rd day of the 30 day shred and every muscle on my body hurts...I love it though. I'd love to join a group and keep track of this journey together. Is there a group already?
