  • January 16th! can't believe how close it is. I would like to lose 8-10 more pounds before my dress fitting in late Nov.
  • I am doing it now also, although I alternate it with Zumba because I dont like circuit training (its a necessary evil though) and Zumba is actually really fun and I enjoy doing it.
  • I have a version of this I got from Amazon. I have IBS, so I use to get things *moving* when I have a flare up. I only drink it 3-5x per month when i am having tummy troubles.
  • I have Beginner Shred. I bought it for my easy workout days. I have all of her other DVDs and I can tell you that its really really beginner oriented. I don't sweat or breathe heavy at all while doing this. Its short, several circuits and can really help get you ready for the harder DVDs she offers. If you find yourself…
  • 30 minutes of walking 40 minutes of Zumba 12 minutes of weighted core/leg work
  • I would say circuit training, but unless you are completely new to lifting, you are probably not burning a ton of calories since its a fairly easy workout. I do it on my rest days or when I'm tired after work and don't want to do her other videos or Zumba. You can log it as circuit training, but its probably really…
  • LOL thanks ladies! You are all inspirational!
  • I have IBS - A. I have noticed also that flare ups occur when I eat bread. I stopped eating bread and felt great, but I had a slice of pizza a couple of weeks ago and was bloated and then had alternating, ahem, other problems. I also retain A LOT of water when I bloat so its been frustrating. I just have to be more…
  • Yeah it is
  • I have Knockout Body, Bootcamp Workout and Look Better Naked with her as the lead. She is great and very encouraging. Her workouts tend to me moderately challenging, so I do them on the days I am too tired to do Jillian Michaels. I log them as circuit training as well. (Knockout Body is all kick boxing so I log it as…
  • I am getting married too and looking to drop about 30 pounds. My wedding is in January. Feel free to add me! You can do it!
  • this is a BRUTAL workout. Take water breaks in between and work towards a goal. When I first did this I aimed for three circuits back to back for a week. Then did four, then five and so on. JM wants to up your endurance. Take your time and dont hurt yourself. In a couple of weeks you will be shocked at how much stronger…
  • I have SO much water weight fluctuation during the month. I am also on the pill too. I have the one where I skip my period. For whatever reason, I retain water until I actually menstruate then lose a bunch of pounds. It frustrating
  • I will add you. I am getting married too. Looking to drop 25-30 pounds!

  • I have been doing Jillian Michaels Beginner Shred. Great DVD. Ive done 30DS before and its a really good way to familiarize yourself with the moves you will be doing in 30DS.

  • I recently looked at your diary...you are injesting a lot of sodium. You have chips, fries, and samosas on your diary. You may be under your calorie goal but you are often going over in fat, sodium and carbohydrates. A calorie is not just a calorie. You should be having more fruits and vegetables not refined carbs and…
  • You could pay less for a food scale.... $10 at Walmart or Target. Set your glass on the scale and pour it and measure it in At this point i have memorized any dry red (6 oz) is 144 calories.
  • Goals for the Day: 1. Jillian Michaels Beginner Shred DVD LVL 1 2. 10 Cups of water 3. Stay under my calorie goal 4. Go to bed on time (i go to bed way too late. Shooting for 10:30 pm)
  • January 14th Did you track absolutely everything you ate and drank today? Yes Did you stay under your calorie limit? Yes Were you active for at least 20 minutes? Yes
  • I am as well! I will send you a friend request
  • Please add me too. I will add you all. MissMed07@gmail.com
  • I definitely second what "OhSayNow" cited with the weight sizes. I don't know kg (embarrassingly), but I use three, fives, and eight pounders as well. Jillian sells a weight set with 3, 5, and 8s so I just mimicked that. But its pretty clear that the "dancers" as she calls them, uses 3 pound weights in the DVD.
  • Hi Fruitsalad, I am currently on Ripped on 30 Level four and I moved on before I could do every advanced version of the exercises. My philosophy with it, was that it was for Advanced Exercisers. You can see the crazy good shape Basheera is in and trust me, she REALLY struggles with the advanced moves on weeks 3 and 4. I…
  • Has anyone stuck with this? I am doing Ripped in 30 by Jillian instead. On day 7 of level 3. Starting the "mother of all workouts" level 4 tomorrow! Any others making progress?
  • I have both a Fitbit and a HRM. The fitbit is good for tracking your steps, water intake, and overall movement for the day. Mine even "talks" (displays words on the screen) when I have been sitting for too long, so that makes me get up and move. Its a good way to measure calories for jogging, running, walking and Zumba…
  • Im starting ripped in 30 today (also by Jillian, same program). Does that count?
