For the record BMI and BF are two different things. BMI is a number that is used to evaluate your body size. It is not a percentage of body fat, but rather a general score that helps determine if your weight is healthy. Body fat percentage is a measurement of the fat on your body as opposed to muscle, bone and other lean…

For the record, I did not understand why you wanted to wait to loose wait to go to the gym. Not sure what kind of jab that was? Sorry if I upset you. btw- lost 40 pounds in my basement doing P90X. No gym. Now I go to the gym to get bigger.
-
I though that was a reason to go to the gym.

1.5 grams per pound is often recommended depend on you goals, and is a far cry from excess. For myself that is 225g.

I heard about this, but to me the study was about high protein vs high carbs, not junk food. It just happens that junk food is a high source of carbs.
-
You need rest to gain. Twice a week will not make you gain more.
-
Calorie dense does not have to be junk food. Nuts, and their butters. Almonds, walnuts, most nuts. Weight gainer protein also. I could ever take the 600 calorie serving at my size, but you can adjust.
-
150 calories of anything one time will not make you gain any weight.
-
Increase weights if you can. Build more muscle, and therefore burn more fat. I am 5'7, and Eat 1800 across the board to loose bodyfat, and 2200, and 2400ish when trying to bulk.

I have had them, and many other protein shakes. That is all they really are. If a protein shake works for you just check them out. There are many powders you can buy that are more cost efficient, and have more protein than Slimfast. I do not replace meals with shakes. I drink pre or post workout, in the morning, and/or at…

Plain tuna in water.

I always understood it to be, clean vs dirty.

Flavored BCAA powder. Not the full serving, just enough to add some taste,

Not sure what you mean you burn 300 calories in all? In a whole day? Seems low considering the exercises you mention??
-
Well said.

Maybe maybe not. Depends on you goals, and you BMR/TDEE. I personally would, as I am eating a higher protein less carb diet trying to loose fat, and not muscle. Trying not to let muscle get consumed, and fat stored by eating too low. If you not hungry don't force it though. Don't do it most days either, as that's almost a…

I was 180 pds, at 5ft, 7in, and lost 40 pounds on 1800 calories, burning three to 500 hundred a day 6 days a week over about 5 months. 1540 is like my BMR. Why are your calories set so low?

Or one or the other.

I do not disagree, but i seems the major Supplant makers have reformulated. Everything now say "New" lol

New formula. It is not made with DMAA anymore. All products with DMAA, have been discontinued, but they do not have to be removed from shelves, so there are still some out there. I have Hydroxystim that still has it. 146 Grams Fruit Punch Serving Size1Scoop(3.6g) Servings Per Container:40 Amount Per Serving 1 Scoop % DV…

If you have to bread, rice, and pasta eat whole wheat, and earlier in the day opposed to later. Make sure you are not eating to many carbs.
-
Absolutely. I did P90X/Insanity hybrid for my second round. Took me almost 5 months. Worked well, lost 12 more pounds,

3500 calories is a pound. Time is irrelevant. If you eat 500 over maintenance for 7 days you gain a pound. If you eat 500 less for 7 days you loose a pound. If you eat 100 over for 35 days you gain a pound etc.

I have. I like it a lot, Just follow the instructions about accessing your tolerance. I take two scoops, and it doesn't make me too hyper. I get excellent energy, ans a good pump too. Pretty standard pre-workout ingredients, but they are the right ones in appropriate proportions, maybe a bit low, but still enough to be…

For me, I am OK with a cheat meal, but not a day.

Just to note-- Smith bar is at least 10 - 15 pounds lighter, depending on which actual machine it is.

Any pulling exercise builds forearms to some degree. I always dead-lift, pull-up, row, etc. with straps so as to take the grip out of it and focus on the muscles the exercises are supposed to be training. You can do other exercises strictly for grip strength. (Farmers walk is a good one.)

Just google for a heart rate to calories burned conversion tool. You just need to know average calories burned over what time period, height, weight, and age. Here is a link. http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx
