So I totally got out of the habit of logging my progress in this thread. But for March I did pretty good. I changed up my diet some and that has been a big help. I would say I avoided eating after dinner a vast majority of days in March. These threads have been wonderful to help keep me motivated. Hopefully I can get back…

There has been a lot of good advice in this thread so far: Cleaning up and the mentally shutting down the kitchen Making tea instead of eating Eat a filling/healthy evening meal so you aren't tempted to snack Keep busy! Go to bed earlier Track all your late night snacks

MeL 15* LNS: 3 It's getting easier to steer clear of the kitchen now.

Me:12* LNS:3 I fell off the wagon hard this weekend, but I resisted the urge to snack after dinner Friday and Sunday night. This thread has been a big help motivating me to stay strong!

Me:7* LNS:1 Last night wasn't easy, but I did it.

Me: 6 LNS: 1* Ugh it was a triple whammy last night: out of town, celebrating a birthday, and Valentine's day. I did resit the urge to do too much damage, so I was only just over my calorie goal for the day! It's good to see so many new people joining in!

^this^ Depending on how old your kid is, you can get them involved, too! Walking with your children is good for everyone. And you can get hand weights and do some lifting at home. Yoga would be another good option. When my son was small I would place his playpen in the living room and follow along with a yoga tape. Another…

I second the red meat. Around that time I take an additional magnesium supplement in addition to my daily vitamin, and I try to plan to eat some red meat with my salads and veggies. This normally keeps my cravings manageable.

With this photo as support I believe I could do anything. Congratulations OP!!

Me: 5 LNS: 0 I'm really proud of myself for not giving in and eating alllll the sweets in the house the past few nights. I know this weekend is going to be tough (for everyone!) with all the chocolate and treats hanging around. I'm going to try to stay busy right up until I go to bed so I'm not tempted to drift into the…

I have a similar issue! I've found that eating something filling right before I leave work helps hold me over until I can get home and get something decent made for dinner. I keep nut/seed mixes, fruit, pre-made salads, veggie trays, etc at work and I eat as much as I want about 30 minutes before I leave. Then when I get…

Me: 2 LNS: 0! I made myself some flavored water to sip in bed while watching movies, it worked really well last night.

Glad I saw this thread. Eating again after dinner is my biggest weakness! Starting from yesterday Me: 1 LNS: 0!

Don't' feel discouraged! Everyone on this forum is just like you, we all had to start somewhere, and we all deal with times of doubt. queenliz99 has a good suggestion: just track what you eat for a week. No judgement. Either start using measuring cups or buy a kitchen scale and weigh out your food. Don't eyeball it! It's…

I've never had a prescription for Retin-A but I've used .5%, 1%, and 2% Retinol serums for the past 2 years. Redness, peeling, dryness, oiliness, and increased sun sensitivity are all really common when you being using any form of topical Vitamin A, and will fade over time. I find that it takes a week or two for most…

When my best friend got married a couple years ago, I dropped about 15lbs for the wedding. Can I just suggest doing lots of arm exercises? If your dress is strapless your arms are the most visible part of your body and if those look toned it makes you look much slimmer in the photos.

The first week of Alpha I was about 98% modifying the moves, and even then I would have to take breaks. I'm about 1/2 through the second week now and I can already feel that I'm stronger and able to push harder. Even though it's only 25 minutes a day and I'm loving the energy boost I get from the workouts, I'm finding it…
