Just got one for myself as my own "after Christmas" gift. Excited to get started.

Getting back into MFP and need some motivation and support too! Feel free to add!
-
Thanks :). I figured I'd set a "fit before 40" goal and take the time to lose the weight "right" this time. I am aiming to lose about 40 pounds.

Hi! Mom of 2 boys (8 and 6), just turned 39 today and need to commit to my health. I have stopped and started way too many times and would love to add some "friends" to help stay accountable!
-
Congrats, wonderful progress! Makes me happy I ordered the t25 this week, should be here in a few days!

I'm back at it myself today. I too can sympathize with a doctors visit being a rude awakening. I have been putting off getting back in the swing of things for WAY too long. Today is my 39th birthday and I decided to commit myself to "fit before 40" and give it a year to get in the shape I want (ideally need to lose 40…

Awesome work! Congratulations.

Rangers! And a Mommy who gets up nice and early to watch her 7 year old play as well. Last week we had the chance to meet several Bruins players who were wonderful, so if they aren't playing head to head with our Rangers, we'll cheer for the Bruins now too :).

Congratulations! What great work. And so inspiring, I too am 5'3 and just about the same start weight right now. Gives me hope :). Thanks so much for sharing.

Put EVERYTHING into your food diary. Even garlic has calories :)

This website has a bunch of crockpot recipes, I love it. http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/2011/08/crockpotalooza.html

That is an amazing transformation in 6 months! You are so inspiring. You obviously have worked very hard and deserve some major applause.

I'm doing this myself. I can say that NO carbs has always been a big mistake for me, so like the other poster, I am eating carbs but the ones found in fruits/veggies/yogurts etc. I also eat "low fat" foods which always have some form of carb in them but I am avoiding pastas, breads, cereals, sugary desserts etc. When I do…

And I should also say thanks for explaining it. As a newbie, it helps to have someone willing to take a sec and break it down. :)
-
Okay! Gotcha, thanks :)

:) Glad I am not alone

I don't think I am though. I have it set for 1.5lbs per week which equates to my trainers suggestion and on the days I've excercised, I've eaten about half of the exercise calories, so I don't think I am circumventing their system.
-
Both. I have it set for 1.5lbs per week and it equates to the same calories as my trainer suggested.
-
I totally just cracked up at "*poetry snaps*" Thanks for the giggle.

Congratulations, that is wonderful!

I think if you're already coming from somewhere that you had put on make-up for etc it makes sense, but to put on make-up for the sole purpose of working out seems odd. BUT, I say that because make-up is an irritant for me while working out, and I'm not there to look good for anyone other than me. I say to each their own…

Good for you! And the c25k is for this specific purpose, to slowly build to the place where you can do it. And while I haven't run in a bit, I'm going to start again. I mean come on, now that I know my uterus will fall out I can't wait. That will be a good few pounds lost right there! And I wonder if I try, could I shake…

I use Designer Whey and really like it. I find all protein shakes taste better with skim milk than water.

Exactly! Find something that indulges you but is still healthy. A nice mani/pedi is always great!
-
For me it is massages :). I figure it keeps with the general theme of taking care of my body and it feels darn good! *And congrats on reaching your first goal!
-
Absolutely feel free to add me (same goes for anyone else in this thread). I am definitely a smartass and love a good sense of humor. In fact I wrote my first blog entry the other week and warned people if I do any more they will most likely involve cursing and sarcasm. It's how I roll...(okay technically I roll in a…

Great job, that is fantastic. Your hard work paid off!

I'm new myself. Signed up before the holidays but haven't really gotten started until now. I'm looking to lose around 30-35 pounds and was told about this site by my trainer (he even has the access codes to check out what I am eating, yikes!). I would definitely love to have a little support group on here so feel free to…

Congratulations, that is wonderful!!! As someone just starting out this is the kind of post that is so inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing.
