It's not always just about prejudice and appearance. At my job, we need to be on our feet long hours, lift heavy objects, quickly navigate around the hospital, etc. If we were hiring and the two applicants we equally qualified but one was more physically fit and therefore better able to perform necessary aspects of the…

I've run two 5ks and one 5mile race. They're great fun! I love doing the special themed ones (we had a Santa Run through downtown at night with Christmas lights along the course and Christmas music playing.) Got out of shape and am now retraining for a 5k mud run in April. I can do the mileage but I really need to do…

Treadmill 3-4 times a week right now. I'm such a sissy about the cold, so I don't run outside until it gets warmer. Going to make myself start some strength training! I get so bored during though, and think about how I'd rather be doing cardio! :P

I've had this problem too. When I lost 12 pounds (I've unfortunately gained it back since then), I dropped from a B cup to an A! Soooo frustrating. I'm gonna have to try the chest presses as well. Thanks for the advice.

I love to put my phone on the treadmill, hook up the headphones and watch/listen to upbeat, fast-paced music videos.

Losing weight helps for sure. I can tell the difference in ten pounds. The other major thing is cardio and working out. If I use my inhaler before and exercise indoors (treadmill or stationary bike) I usually don't have any problems. It's tougher to exercise outside - lots of allergens, extreme temperatures, humidity.

Hello all! I'm a bit late but I really wanted to get in on this group. I love the idea of the weekly challenges! I am currently in my healthy weight range, but pretty out of shape ever since I started Fall semester in college. I used to be able to run 10 miles and now can barely make it 2! I have asthma and I can tell…

To lose at least 5 pounds more by Christmas! 7 would be great, but not realistic for me.
