Did you get your answer yet? I have been using my HRM on Week 1 and I have been getting around 325 calories. It does vary some based on age, weight, etc. If you don't have an HRM, I highly recommend one!

We add different meats. Whatever we cook up on the weekend in bulk is what we add in. Sometimes it might be taco meat, chicken, pork, beef. I also make my own dressings using a variety of citrus, italian seasoning, and olive oil. You could add fruits (mandarin oranges, beets, apples, pears, strawberries, blueberries,…

Funny...Many of the women I work with have joined WW since Jan. There are a few of us who are doing the MFP way. Those of us who are doing MFP feel better about food and overall seem happier with life. I feel like this is a lifestyle change and NOT a DIET as opposed to those who are doing it with WW. I am also glad that I…

You may add me. Full time working mother of 3 young children.

Me neither. My mother was overweight almost my whole life. My mother in law has been too. I see them unable to play with the grandkids, breaks my heart. I don't want to be like that. I also don't want to see my health prematurely deteriorate. So I am taking control of my life and giving my kids a better future. Please feel…

That is how I started, then I began eating "clean" more fresh fruit and veggies and whole grains. What is all boils down to is calories in/calories out in order to keep up a deficit. Ultimately it takes 3500 calories to make up one pound. So if you have a deficit of at least 3500 for the week, then you should lose at least…

I feel ya! I am not excited about exercising one bit. The motivation I have is looking better and right now seeing results on the scale. I know that the scale isn't everything but while I still have much weight to lose it will work for now. I am 37 from MI and work full time with 3 young children. I joined 1-1-12 just like…

You can still eat clean and boost your calorie count. Eating things like hard boiled eggs, avacado, bananas (those are around 100 calories but still healthy).

I have found wearing my pedometer really keeps me aware of how much I am moving. Every step counts! I aim for my 10,000 steps every day. I even where it when I work out. Keep tracking your food. I got a food scale and use the mobile MFP app which helps a ton. I also stick to mainly foods that are grown (meats, veggies,…

Thanks cj! I have added you. My biggest struggle is finding time to exercise. I wake up at 5 am so I have time to get every thing ready for the day, leave the house by 7 with 3 kids ready to go to school. My husband is not around in the AM to help. I am going to try to get up at 4:30am to workout 3 days a week. Will have…
