I love yoga, it's a super important part of my life. I literally feel like I'd fall apart physically and mentally without it. I do it everyday, 60 - 90 minutes, at home.

Your diary isn't open, or I'd give you my thoughts on your foods. I think you've gotten good advice here. Yoga is amazing. Is it the biggest calorie burner in the world, no, but there are so many benefits, and especially where you have some injuries, it's so much less damaging than other exercises.

Yeah, I think that's what I mean. Thanks

OK, seriously, I want to be her when I grow up. That is SO inspirational. The way she looks, the way she can move. WOW.

I like my yoga to just be yoga. I did a Jillian Michaels Yoga Burn type video once, and i HATED it. I've found with my daily practice, I really don't need to worry about the calorie burn.

Does anyone else get a lot of noise in their head when they hold inversions for a challenging amount of time?
-
I love the Bryan Kest and the Bob Harper DVDs.
-
Most of the yoga practices I do include at least a little bit of inversion work. I do like the idea of getting a little in every day to change my perspective, and try to forward my handstand practice, even if it's by a fraction of a millimeter.

I think practicing at home is what helped me with this. There's nobody to compare myself to, but nobody to share the excitement of breakthroughs either. I usually come here for those!

I wish people would stop saying she looks disgusting, awful, etc. It's not nice to say about anyone, fat or thin. I'm hoping she just got overly competitive, went for the money, and now will moderate.

Yogaglo is $18 a month, and has an offline viewer where you can download up to 10 practices onto your ipad or phone. I swear I'm not working for yogaglo, I'm just a huge fan!

I had no idea they had another line! Wow!

I was using my iPad for ages, but it was getting really old, and the videos were starting to cut out, so I started using my laptop. It's working out well so far.

Thanks everyone, I love our little group of yogis.

I'm working on this, I know how hard it is. PROUD OF YOU!!!

The video quality is really good. Check out the free trial and then decide.

Awesome, let me know what you think!

I almost always practice with Kathryn Budig or Dice Iida-Klein. I also like Jason Crandell and Felicia Tomoasato

Be careful, I hurt myself this way. For cardio type activity, you really need the support of the shoe to keep you from rolling your ankle easily. Now that I just do yoga, I am barefoot though. :)

I am not an instructor, but I recently heard it instructed in a way I liked. The instructor was saying to make sure that you are in fact making a triangle, that your head is in front of your hands, not alongside. HTH

I'm so used to practicing alone now, that I don't want to practice around others, lol! I don't feel self conscious when I close my eyes or do lion, it's just my little space and time. That of course doesn't stop me from buying cute yoga clothes! Felicia Tomasko is great! I did a 90 minute yin yang practice with her and…

They'll come back, stick with it!

I have lost and maintained my weight with yoga, but you definitely don't get to eat as much as other forms of exercise. For me it's worth it, as yoga is the one thing I can stick with and love for the long term.
-
I am still using it, everyday! I love it.

I have a bunch, the only one that had a classroom style was Baron Baptiste. Out of my dvds though, I would say Bryan Kest Power yoga is my favorite.. I use Yoga Glo now, which feels VERY much like a class. It's $18 a month, unlimited, which is really only the cost of going to one or two classes. I ADORE IT! Any style,…

Hi all my fellow 5'8ers!! I'm 133 lbs. Can anyone point me to a good place to learn how to measure properly? I think I'm 29" at the waist.
-
Totally agree.
-
Doesn't sound like you want or need one to me.

You look amazing. Thanks so much for sharing!
