Nonfat (skim) milk and Splenda = 25 calories of awesome! I switched from cream and sugar about 4 years ago and can honestly say I prefer it this way now. Your tastes adapt and learn to love it IMO.

You must be thrilled!

Such a good attitude. Just let it go.

We are height and SW twins!!!!!

You look great. What a wonderful gift you are giving yourself and your fiance by taking care of your health.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, It's the carbonation that I love. It is my substitute for Diet Coke which I haven't drank is 4 months.

Point well taken. I will look out for this when I ask for Perrier at restaurants and am offered Club Soda as an alternative. Thanks for all the great advise.

That has been my rationale until now. I'm glad to have independent (likeminded) advice! I might just refer my neigh sayers here in the future

Thanks so much for this resource!!! It has given me piece of mind.

Congratulations! I hope to be in your shoes this time next week! I am .5 lbs away! I can't wait to start medical forms with that lovely 1 instead of a 2 for the first time in almost a decade!!! Well done and keep it up!

Maybe MFP and the other website are using different definitions of sedentary? We have very similar stats (I'm 5'11" and my SW was 248) I follow the suggested calorie intake for 2 lbs per week loss and loose consistently. By consistently, I also mean that sometimes I will loose 1 lb for two weeks in a row and then loose 4…

I agree with the videos, but in addition to that I would choose a treadmill. It is great for days when the weather isn't great and you want to make excuses as to why you can't go for a walk/jog/run.

You look fabulous in that dress. Congratulations!

I took a quick look at your diary. I would suggest swapping out some of your higher fat proteins for lower fat ones. I noticed things like pepperoni and ground beef in some of your entries. If you swapped those out for chicken, turkey and seafood alternatives, your calories would stretch a lot further and you would be able…

This. I read the book Brain Over Binge by Kathryn Hansen. Although it is very repetitive and the author’s writing style can be annoying, I found the information and techniques really helpful. I'm not a binge eater, bulimic or anorexic, just a regular over eater who had tastes towards the unhealthy side. This book showed me…

That really just goes to show you that body shape and weight distribution makes a huge difference. I'm 5"11 and my SW was 248 lbs I was wearing size 16-18 depending on the store.

I'm 5"11 and my goal is 175. I was 180 lbs about 10 years ago, and though I didn't appreciate it at the time, looking back at old pictures, I think it suited me. I think 190 is a good goal, especially if you have never been that weight before. Don't be afraid to revise your goal as you get closer though. Nothing is set in…
