  • YAY!!!! Zumba is so much fun. I've been doing it a year and a half and am actually certified and instructing now. I credit Zumba with my 80# loss. Keep with it, alot of instructors change everything up on a regular basis to keep it fun. They also have events in nightclubs for something new. Love having more people in the…
  • Mmmmm..... that sounds so good. I think I need to try it.... off to get some poblanos!!! Traci
  • Congrats!!!! I recently hit that goal too. It is such a great feeling!!!! Traci
  • Smart Ones Anytizers Mini Cheeseburgers... hands down!!!! I don't know why but I am addicted to these. At 200 cals each sometimes I can have two with a salad for lunch (on my high cardio days). I can only find them at one store but will go out of my way to find them:love: Traci
  • I agree, all the same stuff in my house as before. My husband and children do not have weight problems. If I feel I really need something I find a way to work it in by either smaller portions or more excercise. The first bite or two of something is usually the best. It's been said hundreds of times but, nothing tastes as…
  • Definately go to the runner's world link and find a good running specialty store in your area. Everyone runs differently and you need to make sure you have the correct support. Once you know what kind of shoe is best for you, then you can buy at sports chalet, etc. Another great source AFTER you have bought your first pair…
  • Thanks guys, after going back to my diary and adding the one meal I hadn't entered for Friday I realized I am not eating enough again. I was under the 1200 yesterday, it is so hard to stay just in the right range. Yesterdays missing meal was really because of the brunch, and kept me below the calories I needed. For some…
  • Thanks for all the ideas! Now I have ideas for just about all the games. We are doing the chicken fajitas for today. Must be crazy to tailgate in 113 weather for a preseason game, but just can't wait. Now just need to cram in a 4 mile run to cover the beer :drinker: GO CARDS!!!!
  • I want in!!!! I know I am a week late, but I am definately dedicated to 4 times a week or more. I love zumba, I have gone 3 times this week and will be doing a double master class tomorrow. I really feel like nothing burns the calories like zumba.
  • Pinchingyourpennies.com is another really great site, like couponmom they match coupons with deals by stores (in their forum section) but you can also comment. You usually find alot of add'l info from people posting what they found in the store. I usually feed my family of 5 great healthy meals for about 150.00 a week.…
  • I too must get it done in the morning or not at all. When I really don't want to get up I will tell myself that I will only walk (I usually run). Then from there I will run for only 5 minutes, after 5 minutes I am into my workout and don't want to stop. I'm not sure what it means that I can trick myself, but hey it works…
  • Most have been entering slimnastics, jazzercize for the closest calorie count. Zumba is so much fun!!! Traci
  • The electronic record mandates were passed years ago with HIPAA, the stimulus package just tweaked it a bit. This is a healthcare regulation. Part of HIPAA is safeguarding these records from privacy breaches. I am not quoting this from any article, I am the HIPAA officer for the medical practice I work at. This really…
  • Thanks guys. I do get the cardio in. I run 6 days a week x 2 miles, and zumba 4 days, I guess I will add the strength training. I knew I should but I was putting it off. Now I have real motivation to work it in. Traci
  • The best bet is to see your doctor. My weight journey started with a diagnosis of high blood pressure. I was told to add more fruit, I avoided it because I always heard how bad it was with the calories. Fruit has alot of nutrients and vitamins that our bodies need. If you can, ask your doctor for a health panel and find…
  • So glad I found this thread. I have my first zumba tonight as well. A little anxious about it but mostly excited. Thanks for the ideas on how to add it to my excercise log, Traci:happy:

  • I was a pepsi-aholic before weight loss. I was also a smoker, they just went together. Since quitting and dieting I have given it up and replaced with water and tea. If I really feel I can't live without it I will go for a diet. I really think most of my weight came from soda!!! Traci
  • Would he like cold pasta? I make a whole wheat rotini with tomatoes basil and chicken breast. I keep a cold pack in my lunch and it's ready to go at lunch. Wal mart even carries the whole wheat pasta now. Low calorie and low cost, can't beat that!!
  • Now that looks REALLy yummy. I think I will try it! When things look great I feel like I am indulging a bit more. **in the US graham crackers can be used...
