Are you keeping your diet tight over the weekend, i noticed you have a few blank sat/sun? If not a weekend binge can slow/ruin your results. Also are you weighing all your food down to the gram, being as accurate as you possibly can? And as mentioned above tom and sore muscles can make your body weight fluctuate quite…

The logic is that you may not have needed to eat that low a calorie deficit to lose weight, you possibly could have lost weight eating more if you had started with a gentler deficit to begin with. Now it sounds like your body has adapted to your caloric intake of 1200, now you have a few options do more cardio, eat less "…

I don't know how many times this video has been posted on these forums, its interesting non the less. DR Layne Norton explains metabolic damage, due to aggressive deficits and low calories. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHHzie6XRGk

True enough, mfp built in calorie calculator can be confusing. Surely they would have seen all the 1200 calorie threads littered all over the forums by now, and tried to improve their calorie calculation system!

So what you all going to do when you stop losing weight again, increase them even more to lose more weight lol. The truth is if you, had lowered your calories gradually to begin with and not had such an agressive deficit then this problem could have been avoided, lesson learnt i think :)

Agree ^^

Like i mentioned above calories calculators are notoriously inaccurate for some people. The bottom line is nobody really knows what your bmr or tdee is or how fast your metabolism is. You have to use a method of trial and error by reducing calories gradually or increasing activity until you find the sweet spot. Use a…

Good luck Wickedone1973 as said above its trial and error until you find the right tdee number, that will get you losing again. Just be sure to reduce calories gradually, i have found sometimes it it only takes 100 cals or so to get going again :)
-
You have to lower your calories as you lose weight. Your tdee wont stay static, i see your using the Katch-McCardle formula that formula should have taken into account your activity level, so there would be no need to eat back you exercise calories. You could try using this calculator here…

Track your body composition not weight, most gyms will do this for you for a small fee. If your new to lifting its normal to have some noob gains at the beginning, so you may not see much if any movement on the scale. Get a bodyfat caliper test done every 4 - 6 weeks, you will get a better idea of whats happening to you…

Low calories + lots of cardio = Metabolic crash. Your body has adjusted to the amount of cardio you do and the amount of calories you net. The only way to lose now is to lower calories further or do more cardio not a good idea imho. Take a few months off eating at maintenance sucks i know but you don't have much option.…

Up your cardio / activity, or lower calories slightly providing their not already low.

Firstly, how do you know your metabolism is screwed up? Have you recorded your body temperature upon waking and throughout the day for a week, with an in ear thermometer? lower than normal core body temperature can be an indicator of a slowed metabolism. If you are adamant that your metabolic rate has slowed, which it…
