If you know your friend's name, you can sure through the companion app on your phone. You would select the ...MORE link in the bottom right hand corner, and then find Zwifters. Also, if you are just riding, you can add people around you. I've made "friends" that way.. when we do long rides together. 1/1/2019 - 20 miles…

Nice paint job!!! I am too much of a wimp to ride in the winter... it was -14 degrees here today! No thank you.. I'll stick to Zwift!
-
I'm a Zwiftie... I started my weight loss journey last year, lost 70 pounds, and rode 4,314 miles on Zwift and in real life. Currently I am in snowy Colorado.. waiting (not very patiently) for the snow to go away so that I can pull the mountain bike and road bike out. Would love to meet more people on Zwift! It has been my…

I am a shorty.. 5'2" and I've lost 70 pounds.. with 36 more to go. I am not familiar with WW.. I've just been doing MFP, basically moving more, eating less! You got this!

Oh.. and my name is Cherie.. so very close to yours!

Welsome! I am 51... started on 1/1 with a goal to lose 116 pounds.. I am 74 pounds into that now by using MFP, counting calories and BIKING!!! I found something I love, and it is biking. Good Luck with your journey. I have found that while it is not easy, it is really not hard either! Consistancy is the key! Every day, no…

Great job! I started on January 1st.. and so far have lost 72 pounds of my 106 goal. You can do this!

I feel your pain. Colorado here and the fires and smoke have been awful. I have resorted to getting up at 4:45 AM and riding my bike inside my home, connected to a trainer just to get my exercise in. The smoke isn't as bad in the mornings and it is nice and cool... but by noon, my head is aching and I am coughing. This…

For today ... I am saying no to the candy jar here at work. It has sucked me back in over the past month, and while most of the time it is in my calorie allotment, yesterday, I was over by almost 300 due to stress eating. So today, I say no to stress and to stress chocolate eating.

You got this. I've lost 67 pounds since January 1st.. with another 40 more to go. I actually feel so much better now. I've made this a lifestyle change, and it feels like a part of my day now.

I just turned 51 this week... I've lost 67 pounds this year, and I have another 40 to go!

Joemac is right. Motivation may get you started, but consistancy and determination will get you through it. I've lost 59 pounds since January 1st by exercising every day, logging my food every day, moving more, eating less every day. I get up at 4:50 AM and get on my bike and ride 13 to 15 miles every morning before I take…

Love your boxer picture... I have two of them. :-) Good Luck! You can add me as a friend if you want, my diary is open. I have lost 50 pounds this year since 1/1/2018, and I have 56 more to go for goal.. so I plan on sticking around for a while! There is also a really good thread in the Challenge's section that is called…

I think I need black sneakers now. I heard they pair well with my sparkling water! ;-)

I’m in. Coming home tomorrow from vacation. I’ve been in New Orleans for almost a week and I have only had: Friday - 2 oz beer at a brewery tour Saturday - 4 oz beer at a cooking class Sunday - 1 pint of beer at lunch at Felix’s with my red beans and rice watching the oyster shuckers at the bar. Monday - one very generous…

So I am sitting here in Abita Brewery after the tour, at the bar and I ordered a beer. I had a few sips and gave it to my husband. I tried their sodas and about went into a diabetic shock. I am not missing it. It’s just blah and gross. I can’t believe I stopped my 54 day streak for this. And do you know... I feel a…

Hey all! I've been a little quiet on this thread as I really had nothing to report. I am 52 days AF and I love how I feel and how much energy I have. I've used this time to log my food, close my rings on my Apple watch and watch the number on the scale go down. I tried to go back and remember when I first tried alcohol..…

Welcome! MFP is great.. and it is so awesome your husband is doing well! I have a friend that has been fighting a brain tumor for the past several years, but he is doing great too. And as everyone else said, you look great in both pictures, but I understand feeling good at a certain weight.. Just be consistent with MFP and…

My husband and I had a non-alcoholic victory last night. Since January, we have both been working on our weight and have been cooking at home all most every single day. Last night, we had a date night to go see Trombone Shorty and we made reservations at a really nice Italian restaurant. Usually, we would order a nice big…

I am proud of my husband.. he didn't drink on Super Bowl Sunday! (Neither did I.) Probably the first time for him in years. We are now drinking a lot of La Croix.. and because I like the experience of having the stemless wine glass in my hand... they have a really nice hand feel... we are pouring our La Croix in those at…

Julie.. I love that. Yesterday, I was driving my 18 year old daughter to school.. and was telling her about my successes in January.. that I had a completely dry January.. she turned to me and said that is great mom.. ME TOO! :-) We laughed and high fived each other. To be back to an age where that is just the normal..…

You are right about drinking stealing your happiness from tomorrow. I am proud that I had a completely dry January. My husband had a damp one. The past two weeks, he hasn't drank anything, but last night he had a gig and came home late. I didn't see him til this morning, after I had gotten on my bike and ridden 8 miles. I…

I'm here for February... Had a totally dry January, feeling great, lots of energy, I think I'm sleeping a little better. For February, I plan on it being mainly dry, but I have a trip scheduled to New Orleans at the end of the month. I feel good about going into that trip knowing that I will be able to limit myself and not…

I have started using our indoor bike trainer in the morning at 5:30.. I am NOT a morning person, but since I've started.. my body has been waking up naturally between 5:00 an 5:30. I go and do 30 minutes. I feel it gets my blood pumping and heart rate going.. and I feel great by the time I get to work at 8. I am lucky, we…

@crazykatlady820 I think you look amazing! You can see it in your eyes.. both before and after.. how dead you felt and now how alive you are! Such an inspiration! thank you for sharing!

Amazing work! That is such a great feeling!

Apple watch user here... goal for January .. logging everyday in MFP and getting my rings on my watch.. oh, and dry January. So far, I've succeeded on all accounts! I'm not a nurse, but I work at a hospital! (HR).

I love this. Figuring out the Why. This could be used in so many other cases than just alcohol.

21 days.. it's been great. I love that I am not really thinking about it much... I have about 50 bottles of wine in my cooler, and they haven't talked to me once this month. (maybe whispered a couple of times) but over all.. they are being good.. and just aging. I bought two more teas yesterday and have been trying to have…
