It might be that they simply don't want more friends; it's time consuming to really be supportive of a large group of friends. I don't accept new friends at this time unless they're a friend of a friend - and not always then.

Agreed. No one can make the decision for you, but I can't imagine being with someone who didn't love me unconditionally. My husband has never made me feel less than beautiful, regardless of my weight or any other feature.

I would suggest you go to a website such as fitnessfrog.com; use the TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) calculator to compute your daily calorie goal. Then manually set that as your goal on MFP. The calorie counting can be overwhelming at first, but you will fall into a comfortable rhythm. I've been doing it since Jan.,…

When someone asks how much you weigh, tell them, "You'll forgive them for asking if they'll forgive you for not answering."

You have to eat an extra 3500 calories to gain one actual pound.
-
Awesome; good for you!
-
Wonderful job; I'd say you did it in a well thought out, sensible manner!

After losing almost 40 pounds, I saw my husband's family. You would have had to be blind not to notice, but not a single person commented.

You don't earn salvation or the title; it's a gift. If you confess that Jesus is the son of God and accept him as your Lord, you're a Christian. We are perfected by Him; we are covered by His righteousness.

A pound of muscle does not weigh more than a pound of fat, but it does take up less room on your body. So if you replaced fat with muscle, you will be smaller and tighter. Congratulations, you've done well!

I have cheese every day. It's an important part of my food plan. I have an oz. of cheddar with crackers for one of my daily snacks and routinely have cheese in casseroles and on pizza. Yes, I eat pizza too. I'm 57 years old and lost 40 pounds in a year. I've been maintaining since January, so eat cheese if you want it.

If this is the way people show they care about you, I'd really rather they didn't.

It works if you do. :)

As most others have said, talk to Grandma, but please be respectful and firm. Her intentions may have been good, but were misdirected. What you said was very loving; I wouldn't talk about it again unless she brought it up. Just start making time to do active things together as a family or during your special "daughter"…

Yes; it's a cute dress. I don't see why anyone would have a problem with it. There's absolutely nothing about that dress that would detract from the bride, and not wearing white after Labor Day is no longer valid.

I don't think wearing a bikini is a necessarily a sign of self respect, regardless of the person's size.

Please don't give up your quest for better health! People can be unbelievable mean sometimes, but they are not worth giving a second thought to. I know that's easier said than done, but you deserve to reach your goals. Don't let them take that away from you.

If you're hungry eat them; if you're not, don't. You'll figure out what works for you. If your weight loss stalls, you may need to eat more or exercise less.

I agree with the previous post. I would add another review with the latest developments. Your private information is already out there; I'm not sure taking it down now would matter. I would also contact a superior authority at the business to discuss the matter.
-
Congratulations to both of you; this is a great post!

No, I don't eat just to get rid of calories. But, if I have room for a snack and want it, I have it.

If the calories burned on the MFP website are greatly exaggerated, I don't know how I managed to lose 40 pounds in a little over a year and have been maintaining since December. I'm a 57 year old woman without a fitbit or any other way to guage my burns other than this and other websites. It's worked for me.

I don't think it affects it at all; at least, that's been my experience.

Be kind when you see an obese child; sometimes, you have no idea what the circumstances are. I am aware of a precious 2 year old who is obese through no fault of her parents. She has inoperable cysts in her brain and they have run every test imaginable to try to figure out the weight gain and correct it. This child's…

I agree with everyone else. Eat in moderation, and save calories for your favorites; don't waste calories on foods you can do without. Make time for exercise and, above all else, enjoy the time with your family; they won't always be with you.

Check out intermittent fasting on mercola.com.

No; she has very little to live on, and it seems that the child doesn't need the money. I really don't think it matters if she ever charged the child rent if he/she ever lived at home as an adult . That's a way you teach your children responsibility when they become young adults. This is a different situation.
