  • I eat 1610 cals a day. I eat low fat high protein and moderate carbs. I follow the nutrition guide that goes with the DVD 5 times a week and weekends, I eat whatever within the same amount of cals. I hope by the time I end Alpha, I have lost 5-7 lbs.
  • Thank you for this reminder. I am plateauing and losing motivation, but after reading this, I want to get going again.
  • Great Job! You will really push yourself to the limit, I am now on round 3 but on a hybrid with insanity. P90x is now just a recovery for me after my round 2! :)
  • I use Ezekiel sprouted, it is flourless and it makes you feel full easier, plus 2 slices is just 80 calories each. I love the cinnamon raisin one. Try it.
  • Try the P90X and Insanity Hybrid and join our group to get support. I am on Week 5 and I like it better than just one or the other. Goodluck!
  • i love eating sweets, I don't think I can stop eating them especially after eating a meal. I don't like depriving myself, but what I really do is portion control. Say, if I wanted a flan, instead of eating a cup of it, I just eat like a quarter of it, just to satisfy the urge to eat sweets. If you look at my diary, no…
  • Anything sweet like creme brulee or cakes. I just can't resist them!
  • Great decision! I am glad you decided and committed. Like Tony said, no one said this is easy, but hey, all hard work will pay off in 90 days :)
  • just bought the digital one with body fat, water percent, bone density and lets you save your measurements. I bought it at walmart. I think itis health o meter for 35 bucks. I like it and pretty accurate.
  • I am on my round 2 (kind of started again!) I hope you continue on with the program. It is very rewarding, a challenge but a good one. It might be hard when you are starting, but go past that and you will be strong. Eat clean too. Follow their meal plan and fuel your body enough to sustain and endure the workouts. I also…
  • Your doctor is true, especially if you are losing weight, but P90X is a variety of program that also include cardio such as plyometrics and KenpoX. These workout helps in losing weight therefore you burn more calories there, but as you go on with the program, especially on strength training days, they allow you to burn…
  • Looking great! I would want to wear one of those once I hit the weight like yours! I have about 50 more to go if I'd wear those! Great Job! very inspiring!
  • IF you workout more, eat more than 800, depending on the frequency of your workouts. use the settings of your profile for you to find out how much you can consume for the day assuming you do X amount of workout a week. When I eat with a 1000 cals deficit of the normal total calories a day, I start losing weight. Take into…
  • Being young and impulsively eating on a weekend is not really a way to go if you want to lose weight for good. I was on your shoes your age, but eventually, I gave up because I don't have the tools and knowledge and maybe due to the fact that I was still young to instill personal discipline in me. Binge eating is not the…
  • I used to think exercising is more difficult than dieting. I guess it is dieting that is now more difficult for me because I got to plan what I eat, watch what my intake of certain foods and become more paranoid about eating this and that coz you won't be able to perform well during workouts if you eat unhealthy stuff. I…
  • I have a strapless bra without a padding, I just don't want anything unnecessary marked on my shirt LOL
  • I learned less is more. I do put make-ups (just like on my pic) and use padded bra, I feel less confident wearing too much of them though. the more dressed up I am, the less confident I feel because I am not used to it. But if I wear sexy clothes that I am used to without any other extras, the more confidence I have, and…
  • Another inspiration i will remember to keep me going and be motivated to reach my goal. Thanks for the boost!
  • [/quote] I burn about 350 per weight lifting routine and about 500 to 600 with plyo. But I haven't had an HRM for about 3 months now. Now I"m curious to see if I have any change at all! Wow, that many when you sleep! I wore an HRM for a 24 hour period. A day that I didn't work out and it said 1600 for the whole day. I…
  • My Plyo seems to be giving me enough calories burned, moreso A LOT.. I guess a higher impact workout works best when losing weight and will keep than in mind. My squats seems to be pretty decent as long as I get to sit down while I work, I stand up a lot at work because I teach. I also notice at night, wearing my HRM one…
  • First, you are 19 days away from finishing this round. Stick with it! No sense throwing away all that hard work! Second, definitely follow on with Insanity. It is mostly intense cardio & should burn off excess fat around the muscle you have built with X. Third, while I agree that your heart rate may have slowed down as a…
  • I did lose weight. I guess it is not a bad thing, but I need to burn more calories to lose more weight right? Still have not achieved my weight goals though.
  • I do have lower heart rate when doing the weight lifting routines. I hope I am fitter, but still needs to lose more weight. I guess I have to rely burning more calories in cardio workouts instead. With that said, should I switch to Insanity and no more round 2 of P90X? :D
  • I used to be when I met him, like 30+ lbs. Now he can lift me up coz he is about 10 lbs heavier than I am. First time ever that a guy lifted me up! :)
  • I need to lose 20 lbs til my next weight goals. I would be glad to add any of you who responded to this thread. I'd love to share my diary for those who needs some motivation. I started with MFP 2 weeks ago and lost 4 lbs. without any other aid but eating right and consistent exercise. I would love to extend support to any…
  • Thank you guys! ALL your response is very helpful. the Hybrid seems like a workable routine for me. I still want to keep my sanity by doing P90X from time to time LOL. I will however do insanity for one round first (60 days) then do the hybrid! I will keep all your responses in mind! AWESOME!
  • Maybe prepare a meal that includes what he likes too but with some vegetables. A lot of pot roasts or stews have slabs of meat and potatoes, but make it leaner, with some vegetables in it. Some crock pot dishes have vegetables and meat in it too. I really won't recommended to take the steak and potatoes out of his life…
  • MY HRM reads lower than what the game says. I got 150 on my HRM. I think I'd go for what the HRM says. One thing I notice though, after the HRM reading and after I played that's when I start sweating a lot and when I continued to my next workout which is X-Stretch from P90X, my calorie counter counted my x-stretch workout…
  • Thank you!!! I just read your response. I will definitely do this! :)
