Sugar in itself is not bad it's refined sugar that's evil. The sugar in fruit is paired with high amounts of fibre which slows down glucose absorption which prevents the rapid blood sugar spike of some other easily digestible 'foods' like candy bars.

I certainly think sugar in fruits has an effect, I would aim for 1-2 portions of fruit a day, and go for something like apple or berries. Due to antioxidents. I think veggies are FAR better for you loads less sugar, more nutrients. If you aim for 5 a day I'd go for 3-4 portions of veg definatley.

So i did day 1 level 1. I didnt find it too bad compared to body attack at my gym which kills me! but its still pretty tough, will see how tommorow goes.

Had about 8000 kcal this weekend! :( Just burnt 700kcal in gym though so feel a bit better but im soo hungry- i really didnt want to eat back exercise cals today after my blowout weekend, but feel too hungryu not to :(!

I do a serious weigh in weekly on a saturday morning and generally a midweek peak to see how im doing.

No chance most of it you will excrete out in the next few days, just drink plenty of fluids.

thanks anya for your thoughts! - I undereat sometimes but overeat other times i thought this confusion thing was good- lol!! Thanks sidesteal for the interesting article - as i say im really starting to buy into this theory of bodyweight regulation.

prior to diet i logged a day where I ate 6606 cals over by 5400!! Since starting the healthier lifestyle I've been over by 943 kcals on a Saturday. I also didnt log on day where I ate quite a bit of grub probs over by 1500 or so.

Its only one day allow it...If you can go for a walk or something to work off some extra calories do it, but dont worry too much. eat something sensible for dinner and tommorow is another day.

Love crisps McCoys, Wotsits and pringles (paprika flavor!) Low fat alternatives normally buy snak-a jacks - sour creame and chive---tasty!

i avoid Pasta like the plague. I'll eat bread and potatoes for my carbs, avoid pasta and rice. Why? The tendency to overeat them is massive, I find the portion size of pasta and rice is really difficult.
