I'm in for 40 again... hopefully!

2 shy of my goal (although I did raise my goal in the middle of the month, so not too bad)

Upped my goal since I was already almost there and still almost two weeks left in the month. Trying for 40 for the first time since I started running!

Almost, got to squeeze in two more miles some how!

I can eat cheese, in moderation. Which is a huge problem for me at parties with a cheese tray lol. I can't drink milk or have ice cream. Oddly enough, if milk is cooked (i.e. in mac n cheese, scrambled eggs, etc) I can eat it - I'm guessing the heat helps to break down the lactose for me. I can also eat yogurt in…

I have been running in New Balances, which I love, but now that I got my tax refund I might be buying some Brooks because they felt like running on clouds. I only use my running shoes for running. I wear Ryka or Reebok for Jazzercise or other indoor cardio type classes/workouts.

The elliptical makes me toot. Also, I have a sensitive stomach, so just the combo of what I've had to eat in the previous 24 hours coupled with a lot of bouncing around gets things "churning". I'd say it has something to do with the IBS and maybe other things. =D

I say the biggest thing is listen to your body. I don't usually have a "rest" day. I do an active recovery like hiking or something on days where I'm less intense. IF you feel like you are able to add more, do so, but slowly. But listen to your own body - not what is "normal"

Something that might help your shoes last longer is to have a different pair for running/walking and different pair for cross training. I find that I can have my cross trainers last for a year and can get away with a cheaper one and have a set one for my running, those usually last me about 6ish months as I run outside and…

I have been using Spirutein that I bought in individual packets at my grocery store. It is plant based - I have problems with lactose and so far so good. I have also been told to look for "Whey Isolate" instead of concentrate and try that. The guy at GNC was very nice and explained it all to me, and told me that even if I…

First run of the month - January was crazy, so I'm hoping to get back to a routine in February, plus start training for spring races.

I'm in for 25 miles again (just running - I hike at least another 25!). Just shy last month not because of weather surprisingly, but other obligations. Hopefully I can get 25 this month! =D

I'll come up a bit short this month - I'm okay with it though. I've still been active in other ways. =D
