Starting my first day of getting back on strict CNS. Except I'm going for a very long induction period, at least 4 weeks. Also going try a more W30ish approach in that I'm going to keep cheese and heavy cream to a minimum, as well as sucralose in my teas and coffee. I can go without it in my chai tea ... but NOT coffee.…

Hey, so what are the details for this carbnite event tomorrow, Friday?
-
I'm available for anything all of Fri-Sun. I have to be at the airport no later than 5am on Monday. Guess I'll be meeting up with team Hammer on Friday. Unfortunately doesn't look like Jef Fry is going to make it this time. Will have to make other plans for Saf while you all are at the BBQ. Same for Sunday as you all will…

Btw, looks like the earliest I'll be arriving at the Austin airport on Thursday will be 3:08pm CT.

Thanks Carol, but given your circumstances it makes sense for me to just keep trying no matter the time of day ... eventually I'll make it :) If anybody wants to exchange cell phone numbers ... just send me a PM to aceronjr at gmail dot com.

OK, who for sure will be at the exhibit hall on Friday? I'm just taking it one day at a time. We can also plan to meetup near the exhibit hall for breakfast and coordinate then. Though lets keep it within walking distance because I'm sure parking will be tight and I don't plan to give up my spot until I'm done for…

299 Days is more a story about community and preparedness from what I understand. Firearms are just another necessary tool in the toolbox. If anything, might turn Carol more into a Prepper than a gun enthusiast. Lol! There's another good book (not a series), that Heron has read called "One Second After". If you want less…

TJ - are you going to Shot Show?
-
John - Uh, back in the day I think that was called ... WINTER.

Seeing a new cardiologist on Tuesday. Hoping he can set me straight on the state of my heart health. My current cardiologist is too conventional in his practice and advice. Wednesday I'm going in for my annual physical and health check. Going to ask about getting as much blood work done as possible. I want to have the data…

Hmmm, I didn't know Kim was one of triplets.

I've been listening to some of DH Kiefer's interviews on YouTube. Some as old as 2 years ago. In one he spoke about having reviewed research that suggests that a "healthy" individual gains nothing biologically by fasting more than 12 hours. However, if you're "sick" or obese it's been shown that fasting for 24 hours and…

I keep trying to get Heron to buy men's clothes so matter what she'll always be the same size :D

Oh, you mean a browser and not the app?
-
I don't see a shortcut on my home screen. Must be on Android only??

Uh ... nope, can't say I've had any dreams that I could associate with my diet. In fact I can't recall ever having a dream related to food. Nor regarding any big life changes or decisions for that matter. I quickly forget my dreams after waking anyhow. =)

So the theory is that the less the movement the deeper the sleep?

Heron and I are on our own for a while as Jef Fry Nutrition is taking a long hiatus. But I think we now know enough to manage and tweak our diet on our own. My plan is to reign in the daily protein ... ideally no more than ~50g/day and zero to ultra low carb while eating as much fat as I want. Also going to spread CN out…

Hope everybody is having a great start to 2015!

The new year is coming!

End of the weekend ... back to work tomorrow :( Also, three more days to the end of the challenge! :)
-
Checking in ... holiday weekend is almost over :(

TJ - Good looking dogs! Everybody hang in there, normalcy will soon return after the new year … so just enjoy yourselves. :) It's interesting reading all the "aftermath" stories. I don't think I've ever had a carb-hangover. I just wouldn't have much of an appetite the following day. Occassionally I would have a slight…

Unfortunately it's kind of the luck of the draw regarding where you live and what is being grown in your area. Some are luckier than others in having sources close by. Also some areas just don't have enough pasture to support cattle. But, there are other animals that can live off the available land and thrive with no or…

Ho ho ho … I'm not the "Green Giant" … hope you all have a merry day.

Yesterday I posted in the wrong thread … so here it is.

Merry Christmas!! Happy Holidays!! :D

Ah yes, I see … if you like things over sweetened then taking a break is definitely a good idea. Resetting your taste buds can help. A lot of artificial sweeteners unfortunately don't do what we've been led to believe, and can still affect insulin levels. Also Splenda is dangerous because its not pure sucralose. It's cut…
