Pumpkin Smoothie and coffee with half and half. Yum!

I'm in. Will pose on 5/1.
-
Hooray! Keep up the good work and you get even skinnier pants!

My 30 Day Shred and No More Trouble Zones DVDs. And my treadmill. But really-it's those DVDs that have finally gotten me moving every single day. Jillian Michaels may be tough but she's got me moving and I'm so glad for that.

I've been doing this for years. What a great idea to make it a challenge!

I'm so jealous of all you who already have gardens growing. I can't even plant out till the end of May. But when I do: pumpkins green beans swiss chard lettuce cabbage brussels sprouts broccoli beets turnips zuchinni mesclun mix carrots parsley celery raspberries rhubarb marigolds sweet peas Probably some other stuff, too.…

Yay! You must be feeling really good about now! Way to go.

What about you? What keeps you going? You started this thread! Mikaylarae. lost my quotes....no good with computers.
-
YES! I've noticed that I feel so much better as I've raised my activity level. Volleyball sounds fun-I might have to look for a team!

Love those random compliments. I was selling tickets for a concert the other night and one of the customers I've known for a long time purchased her ticket, then leaned in and whispered to me I was looking I must have lost some weight and I was "looking great!" Made my day.

1. MFP-and a big thank you to my fantastic daughter for telling me about it 2. Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred 3. My own will power- I will not let food rule my life any longer!
-
Congrats! Looking forward to a photo.

Fantastic! Congratulations. You sure are an inspiration to a lot of us!

I just saw this topic pop up and it's for me! I'm 56 and April is the hardest month of my year due to a huge event I coordinate. My April goals are: 1. Continue healthy eating 2. Continue logging food 3. Continue exercising at least 45 minutes a day. I'm coordinating a music event for 500 kids from around our state and it…

My doc wanted me to try it, but through trial and error I discovered that I can't eat potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, or eggplant (nightshade family). When I eat those my psoriasis is awful. As long as I avoid them, I'm doing okay. It might be worth a try for you.

Wow! Good for you. Now have fun shopping for new clothes.
-
Thanks. I agree about the clothes. My scale has been rather stuck between about the same 3-4 pounds and I finally had to force myself to stop weighing every day. It was too discouraging. So to have the top fit last night was a great feeling. Keep going and you'll get into those jeans.
-
Thank you. Keep working for it. You'll get into those jeans before you know it.
-
Thank you! Looking at your current weight, you must be almost there, too. Keep going for it!
-
Congrats! Those experiences are so motivating!
-
Congratulations on making it to your healthy zone! When you said this, " my original goal weight (that once felt so abstract and impossible to me)", it really helped me put my goal into perspective-to make it seem attainable. I'm about 5' 9.5" and my goal weight is 170. That number still seems so far away, but after…

Took my niece to lunch today at the student commons. Was going to get Taco Bell and instead opted for summer rolls full of vegies and then a nice long game of ping pong. Felt so good to have gotten past that awful temptation!
-
Congratulations! And your success got me to thinking about my DL, so I checked. Yep! Eight pounds lighter than what it says. First time in years!. Keep up the good work and thanks for the reminder.
-
Wow! It is so hard to avoid all that fun food. Major success for you and healthy for the family, too-congrats!
-
Congratulations on a very successful day!
-
Me too! I hadn't even realized it for awhile till the doctor asked how often I was using the rescue inhaler and I couldn't remember the last time.

I've never been able to run, either. I think there comes a point when one must accept that and find something else that works and doesn't damage the knees further. Believe me, as life goes on, you want those knees to work well and as painlessly as possible. Try to find something you enjoy and keep with it. Good luck!
