  • I haven't weighed myself. My kitten had to be put down and I haven't even been able to eat since I'm so consumed with greif right now.
  • Thank you everyone. We just called to arrange to have her ashes returned to us, and they said they give them back in a nice wooden box with leaves and flowers carved on it. That's so Cubby since she loved hunting mice so we figure nature stuff=bug hunting? Idk but we're planning on making a shelf to put it on and nice…
  • My kitten, Cubby, had to be put down yesterday at about 6am. She had to go to the emergency vet because she had a rectal prolapse and they told me they could fix it with surgery and she would be fine. When they took her in and opened her up, they saw that her entire colon was hard with tumors and they couldn't fix it. The…
  • My mom binge eats, and we always had tons of food available. In my house growing up a "bowl of icecream" was at least 6 heaping scoops, and I would always have icecream AND popcorn after school (I'm talking the gross chemical butter kinds, that we would put MORE butter on after popping it). My parents tried to put me on…
  • I change up my cardio a lot because I get bored. I do elliptical, bike, crosstrainer, all sorts of machines. I have a little stepper from Sharper Image that I used to do as a last resort in my apartment (it doesn't really feel at all like cardio, just a good workout for my legs/butt) when I couldn't get to my gym but I…
  • Yep, the post was pretty much saying I realize how those things are wrong and I need to change them. Thanks!
  • My fiance ate the other half of the pan. He's trying to get healthy, too (he's even on MFP), but he will just go along with my binges and I tend to blame him for "letting me have it". Yet another example of how I don't hold myself accountable! The more I think about it the more disgusted I am with myself and the…
  • Oh, I didn't mean to sound like I thought you were saying it was okay to make excuses! I'm sorry if it sounded that way. :flowerforyou:
  • I love when you post here. Everything you say is always so positive and I really do appreciate the kind words, but I do make excuses and I use food to medicate my problems and when I try to tell myself I just messed up this once it won't happen again, I know it will. I'm just sick of doing it. I've been here a week and I…
  • The first time I read this I didn't like the tone of it AT ALL. However, I just re-read it for the second time and I think I might need to really try this approach. As someone who binges regularly and will make excuses (like tonight when I ate half a pan of brownies because our heater isn't working...that excuse doesn't…

No, I'm trying to change my lifestyle to a more healthy one. What diet do you follow? n/a How many calories do you take in…
  • I love the idea of eating "clean". I'm trying to do that a lot more now. :)
  • Well, I was 154 at my lowest weight and I was still chubby. I'll say 140-135.
  • Unfortunately I'm still at the point where if I start eating something ~forbidden~ I don't know when to stop. I need more time eatting well and then I'll start adding some of the good stuff back in (in moderation). Today was a horrible binge day. :frown: Tomorrow is a new day!
  • My parents are in the Dominican Republic right now with my little brother! I hope they don't come back with desert. :noway:
  • I have heard of people losing and maintaining by skipping phase 1 and going straight to phase 2. Really, though, it won't be any better than just following the plan MFP gives you. Eatting healthy foods in moderation and making sure you get your water/exercise and the proper amount of calories (including exercise calories!)…
  • I did South Beach with my mom about five years ago when I still lived at home. I lost 10lbs the first week, 5 the second, and gained it all back as soon as the carbs came back into my life.
  • I'm getting married 92 days from today (May 23rd)! I won't be able to get anywhere near my final goal by then, but I'd be happy losing 15-20, which I still feel is kind of high for the amount of time I've got left.
  • Naked!
  • I've been to the gym every day this week, and eatten exactly how MFP tells me (including exercise calories). I've gained 2lbs, though. Blah. Just gotta stick with it and hope it comes off. :frown:
  • I got a Polar F6 at a local sporting goods store for $90 and it tracks calories burned! I even used it while cleaning the house the other day and it tracked everything.
  • NOOOOOOO WHAT ABOUT ANOOP?!
  • That's such a good idea, and a great goal. I'm sure he will appreciate them especially being so far away for so long!
  • The pill doesn't affect weight nearly as much as it once did. I've been on it for a few years and it didn't do anything (+/-) weight wise. Back in the day, like when my mom was younger (the 60s/70s) girls would gain weight on the pill, but that doesn't happen nearly as much anymore because they have improved them.
  • Losing inches is way better than losing lbs imo! I've lost weight before and not felt like I look much better than before, but when you lose inches you KNOW you look better! WTG! :flowerforyou:
  • MEATLOAF!!!!       I remember once when I was 4 or 5, my mom told me I had to eat my meatloaf or I wouldn't get any brownies. I sat at the kitchen table for what felt like hours CRYING because I would not touch the meatloaf but really wanted the brownie.
  • I have one every morning with fruit for breakfast, but it's pretty much because I cannot get through a day without chocolate in some form so I just have it in the morning in the form of slim fast instead of eating an entire bag of reese's at night.
  • Thank you very much.
  • You must be a very strong person to be able to have only ONE meltdown after a month with your guy in the military! My fiance and I used to be long-distance and only saw eachother once every six months, but it was only because we lived apart, not because of the military. I broke down a lot more than you have and your…
