  • Im 26 weeks and continue to work out 5-6 days a week (lifting, cardio, ect just modified a bit) I did stop running due to hip pain but continue to walk 3-4 times a day on the treadmill at a incline. I also eat healthy (most of the time) and would love some support/input ect. Feel free to add me!
  • Boobs :( D to a B sucks New Clothes Being Cold And figureing out a way to take compliments on my weight lose and muscle gain - Im not good at it.
  • I wasnt too impressed with warrior dash so I signed up for GAC this year along with a couple of the runs at Sleepy Hollow ( you should check them out, local and support a charity each event). Im excited for race season to start!
  • The you can't build muscle and burn fat is one in my head doesn't exist - erg, why not/
  • Autopsy Turvey and I have been playing for the Des Moines Derby Dames (Des Moines, IA) for almost 4 years minus some time off for a broken ankle. Back at it now and stronger than ever. Our men's team (Your Mom) won Nationals this year and we are starting to practice with them ( a little intimidating)
  • I have lost just 22 lbs and went from a D to just about a B after the first 15 (which is a little frustrating cuz I kinda liked my boobs and paying for new bras stink). However I am about 5 lbs from my goal and now just hold it in my gut and have not lost anymore in the boob area. I think everyone looses it in different…
  • I actually had surgery on a broken ankle (partially from Derby). After my months of no walking i saw a PT and got some good exersices. One that really helped (expecially with derby as it also helps with balance) is really surprising. Balance on 1 foot with your eyes closed. It sounds dumb but it honestly helps, keep doing…
  • C25K helped me build up my endurance and I have just excepted the fact that I will never be super fast (though when Im jamming the endurance helps a lot more than the speed I believe). On skates I would see if you could get your team to possibly do lap leads for warm ups, builds up on skates endurance.
  • I go to Spartan Downtown.
  • "Give me some Sugar baby"
  • bump for later
  • 1. SW - 152 2. SBF - 26.7% 3. CW - 130 4. CBF - 17.5 % 5. Yes, I have a fit bit and eat almost all of my exercise calories back daily, I do have MFP and Fitbit set at 1 lb a week weight loss still though.
  • I did 45 min of Farrels strength training this morning (resistance bands, arms day) and will do 45-60 minutes of Spartan class tonight (kinda like a crossfit class). Felt like I didnt do my best this morning so plan on killing it tonight!
  • I am training as well, my brother and I are planning on Austin in April. Right now I do kickboxing/strength training and a crossfit class. I dont run right now as I am in roller derby season but plan on starting back up around christmas and hope to get up to at least 10 miles (I don't know if this is possible but im going…
  • Derby is one of the biggest stress relievers and a huge motivation to get in better shape and be around a "family" do't give up! And if i recognize your logo I may have played against you a time or two?
  • Me too, I do a cardio kickboxing/strength training class every morning for 45 minutes then in the evening i either do a crossfit class and run or go to roller derby practice. I also make sure to walk he dog almost every day (though even she doesnt like this heat right now) and for the summer I play softball. I do find it…
  • I loved it, this was my first race of any kind and was easier than i expected. The obsticals made it so much more fun (but I agree there should have been mud/water in the middle). My husband, brother and I decided to finish together and we did in 38 minutes, so not bad for my first run/race. My Brother and I are actually…
  • So unless i significantly up my calories I wont gain muscle, just more definition since more fat is burned?
  • Look at e-meals meal planning low fat option. You do have to pay a little up front but it has been great for my family. It e-mails you a plan a week of low-fat meals and gives you a grocery list with the brands that are lower cost (at certain stores like walmart, ect). Its helped us get variety of low-fat foods and tasty…

  • Skyzone makes me nervous as I broke my ankle in Derby this year and dont want to injure it again. Dellrio, if you do the fitenss class let me know how it is, maybe ill go check it out and see how everything goes.
  • I play with the Des Moines Derby Dames going on 3 years now and LOVE it. It is actually what made me want to get in better shape and be healthier and I now feel better than i ever had.
  • Dellrio - Well there are a few of us, Woot! I Play roller derby and since i started have been working hard to get in shape and eat better. I joined Farrells about 6 months ago and am now attempting to start running (I hate running). I am planning on a 5k by the end of June and Warrior Dash in July. I also like biking so…
  • I just joined and saw not a whole lot going on either. Maybe together we can get the Des Moines Group started or at least help each other if you want?
  • If I follow my diet and exercise all week I give myself 12 hours to do whetever: eat out, have drinks, veg in front of the T.V.. Doing this makes it all worth it and gives me the movitavtion to keep going throughout the week.
  • I recently broke my ankle and went from extremely active to sitting around (it is driving me crazy). I have also tried walking with crutches but it starts to hurt the hands and armpits the longer i walk (and the snow now doesn't help). I never even thought about the Wii to help with excercise, thank you for the idea I will…
