No need to worry about exercise right now, I am sure I've been burning more than enough calories from moving/unpacking and working like a madwoman in the garden. I'll see you guys…

As a side note- It's kind of scary that they wouldn't claim sibutramine in listed ingredients. Sibutramine is neurotransmitter that acts as a serotonin and norepinephrine inhibitor, and it should NOT be taken with any MAOI inhibitors (ie: depression and anxiety medication). :noway:

I've been missing from the challenge for a while I move on May 1st and I've been so excited/nervous/busy that I have completely stopped exercising (except for my daily 4 mile walk). When I have my floor space and sanity back, I will rejoin the challenge. I hope to see you all the first week of May and I just hope I don't…

I know, I just feel badly for her. She really does look like a holocaust victim. The thing that concerns me the most about this is that there must be a lot of people telling her how good she looks, or she wouldn't be there representing beauty for an entire country. I just hope that somebody gets this girl some help. As far…

Stuffed Pasta- stuff crumbled tofu in uncooked manicotti or large shell pasta, cover with marinara sauce and bake until pasta is soft. You could even mix the tofu crumbles with feta for a creamier stuffed pasta. Tofu steaks- Slice the…

He said he wants to start golfing, so I told him I would get him a set of golf clubs for his birthday, he decided against that saying "no I don't want that, don't get me anything...it's too expensive...blah blah".... So, I made plans instead. I found out that he didn't tell…

I didn't take pics, but it was really good. My boyfriend ate all of his even though he does not like regular steamed edamame beans. Thumbs up.

NY Times- July 2002 Read this article by Gary Taubes of the New York Times exposing some of the background to the current faulty approach to basic nutrition all over the world. The so-called "food pyramid" is universally recognized as a guideline for what to eat. Yet it recommends large quantities of carbohydrates to be…

My boyfriend's 30th birthday is coming up in a couple days. On previous birthdays, I did not have much money to spend. So each year (this will be the 5th birthday we have been together) I took him hiking at his favorite park and grilled him a good lunch, maybe give him something little I was able to afford. This year I…

Remember that your BMR is how many calories you burn a day doing absolutely nothing but lying in a bed and breathing. So 1532 is probably correct...without knowing your age/weight/height, I can't say for sure. If you want to maintain your current weight, you eat your BMR net calories and no more/no less. If you want to…

I'd say... no to the gnocchi. maybe to the risotto (is it made with cream or cheese? if so, I'd pass on that as well) yes to the egg noodle pasta. Just try to remember that a serving of cooked pasta is 1 cup. Just to be safe, you may want to order to go boxes as soon as you get your meal. Divide the food in half before you…

Okay here is the BMR formula Men: BMR = 66 + (13.7 X wt in kg) + (5 X ht in cm) - (6.8 X age in years) Women: BMR = 655 + (9.6 X wt in kg) + (1.8 X ht in cm) - (4.7 X age in years) The BMR calculator on this site should be very close to what this formula tells you. I will do mine to check... Height: 6ft or 183cm Weight:…

Welcome to MFP, it's great that you are ready to look at this as healthy, new life-style. This site really will be a great tool for weight-loss, as I am sure you have noticed! I, too, had the feeling that I was getting to look sloppy and feel even lazier about exercising and making proper diet decisions. This site helps me…

What a coincidence! I just bought a jump rope like 15 min ago at Target, and now that I am home, I was thinking the same thing. I live on a busy street, with a non-existent yard...and I'm a bit embarrassed to go outside and jump rope like I'm 10 (but since I'm not 10, it's not cute lol). So, I think I'm gonna take my dog…

Who was your first love...how long did u date/how old were you? My first love was at 17 when I fell for a co-worker. We have now been together for 5 years. He's the first and only person I've ever been with, and I just feel so lucky. I guess the next two questions don't apply!
