  • Wow........ and I thought my 34C were bouncing around too much. How the hell do you ladies survive!!!???? I've been wearing my regular underwire bra underneath a sports bra - I don't even know what type it is...... I'm always looking for more support for jogging. Thanks for the suggestions!! Great post!!
  • Planet Fitness... $10 a month. Last year and this year....I got a coupon in the mail for $99 for an entire year. SOLD! Planet Fitness was my first gym membership ($10 a month) many years ago. After a year.....I decided to go with LA Fitness. They have a pool, fitness classes, jacuzzi, raquetball courts, etc. They wanted to…
  • I'm on the pill (and have been for far too long)....but YES.... exercise can change your period. For me...most months its non existant. Between being on the pill and exercising, there are times when I don't get anything. No spotting or anything. The only way I can tell its 'there' (so to speak - and pardon for this) is by…
  • Set your profile to match your regular job (M-F) and go from there. Do you really need to track the calories you're burning at the pub? If you don't track it...... then everything you do on this site will make it look like you should do even more exercise....and that extra push, is a good thing!!
  • I work in a factory and I walk all day long, up/down stairs or platforms & lifting things.... What did you pick as your MFP profile? Mine is 'active' and the calories to consume is 1920. I just started this MFP and I'm not really looking to lose weight (but to be fit and eat healthier) - and for the past week, it's been…
  • Just start clicking around.........click on all the tabs and see what's there. The FOOD tab is where you input your food intake. Exercise tab is where you input your exercise etc. I've only been here for a week and I'm still trying to 'personalize' it to make it easier for inputting the information. I took an afternoon…
  • Here's a website about the top 10... http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/top-ten-fitness-games-for-ps3-135904
  • Greetings!! I'm from Lancaster (Landisville)!!
  • I actually don't monitor that at all. I drink diet sodas and I don't eat sweets at all (not even cookies or anything like that). My blood sugar levels are on the LOW side (of normal) - so I really don't worry about the sugars in regular foods (per say).

  • You really should stop doing any exercises that involve your elbow until you can get things healed up (per say). And like any strains & pains that I get......I'll stop the activity and take ibuprofen or aleve for a week. Tennis elbow generally affects the tendons on the outside of your arm/elbow. Golfers elbow generally…
  • Nobody can really answer that question......nobody knows what's considered 'healthy' for you versus everyone else. A good rule of thumb.... Avoid candy, candy bars, chocolate, sugary drinks, and other non-essential sugary things. Other than that - you should have your SUGAR levels checked by a doctor. With that information…

  • Awesome!! I have an iphone, so this should be easy to do. I need something to do (laugh) while on my breaks at work. Listening to this stuff will be nice for me. THANK YOU!
  • For me...it's uncomfortable to use certain equipment (at the gym) because my elbows hurt. I think its because of the equipment and the position it puts you in..... So, I actually avoid that equipment and have found an alternative method of working the same muscles that don't put as much stress on the elbow. If you're not…
  • At my age (44), I'm prone to pains just about anywhere........and for no apparent reason. How bad is the pain? It is just annoying? Or does it prevent you from walking? I don't know any details.... but if you're not used to having an exercise program, and you just started one....your joints/muscles might just be aching…
  • I need to get myself familiar with podcasts... as this isn't the first time its been mentioned (for various hobbies). I'm always up for suggestions on reading material, especially the self defense type. We've been talking about taking a professional class like Home Defense or Defensive Handgun. But our schedules never…
  • I had to do it.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyx6JDQCslE
  • Why wait? Do you have a home gym or actually go to a gym? Start out slow - and I mean.....work on arms, shoulders, & back for one day. Then...legs & abs another day. For toning - do lighter weights but more reps and more sets. I generally do 3 sets of 15. You just have to give it a try and go from there. The amount of…
  • I'm not a trainer or a doctor but ultimately.....I think you need to find a routine or a schedule of your own that you can stick to. If you don't stick with it....it's not going to do anything for you. Making a routine become a HABIT (per say). If you do a lot of strength training - I think its IMPORTANT to have rest days.…
  • What flag? Was there a flag in that picture?? Not appropriate, but HELL YEAH...I'm gonna look!!!!! Yeeeehawwww!!!
  • Work till midnight..... get home at 12:30am and always need time to 'mellow out' before attempting to go to bed.
  • Thanks Nick (and Brittany), There are more lefty/righties than I thought!! Do you guys CC?? Just for an FYI to anyone who CC's and is interested in that sort of thing..... I"m not here to make an ad or sell anything, just wanted to recommend a really really eye-opening book about the legalities of self defense. It's a damn…
  • It is bad to eat after midnight.....but when I'm on 2nd shift and I work until midnight, get home at 12:30am.....I have to eat something before I go to bed or else I can't sleep. I try to keep it light.... I'm usually up until 2-3am. I'm new to this site and new to documenting all this stuff. It just occurred to me (DURR!)…
  • First.... Why do you have trouble sleeping? Is there something preventing you from falling asleep OR is there something preventing you from getting a good deep sleep?
  • How much do you WANT to improve yourself?? Exercising isn't for everyone but you can't just throw yourself into it and expect everything to be happy & perfect. You've gotta ease into it.......and you gotta WANT it. Exercising aside..... What types of hobbies do you enjoy? Are you married? Have kids? Have boy or girl…
  • Greetings! Just introducing myself. My husband and I have been shooting for many years. We own several...which I don't like to mention too often online. But I've been known to slip ;) We enjoy shooting steal plates in the pistol pits of our 'not so local' sportsman club. Seems our local clubs just don't have the amenities…
  • Greetings Geocachers! My husband and I found our first 3 geocaches back in 2002 under the username Janster - that was it. This past April, we were introduced back into the hobby and have been doing it ever since. We should reach 1000 before our 1 year anniversary in April. Our username is "Lieblweb" I don't have any…
  • What time of the month is it? I gain or lose 5 lbs every time my 'monthly' comes around. Water weight gain, bloating....the whole kit-n-kaboodle. So anytime near the first week to the week after.....I have to ignore my scale!!
