  • Now I'm at 34 weeks and up to 19 pounds. Staying active (teaching fitness classes and taking care of a 3 year old) has made it really easy to manage my weight gain. My moods are a lot more consistent too with consistent workouts.
  • In case anyone else is wondering or looking for one: I found it at Kohl's for a little under $500 (before tax) with two coupon codes: WINTER20 (20% off) and BUNDLE10 ($10 off a $20 purchase). I also earned $90 in Kohl's cash and my husband actually needs some clothes so it worked out really well.
  • I'm going to keep tracking just because it kind of opens my eyes. The other day I really wanted a Reese's peanut butter cup and normally would have eaten about six (the small ones) until I put it in MFP and decided to only have three  And at night when I'm eating just to eat before bed, it makes me think before I…
  • Consistently around 20 weeks but some little flutters around 18-19. It's been sort of violent since about 24 weeks. My first son hiccupped a lot but this one only has once that I felt. This one is more into huge movements and rolls!
  • I am sort of like you but mine is always due to the impending changes in my life. I am horrible at dealing with change so both times I had some minor anxiety/depression over the changes I knew were coming. Right now I'm due 3/10/15 and usually feel fine but some days feel really overwhelmed thinking about the changes that…
  • I sent both of you friend requests as well. My son is 3.5 right now and I'm due in March with Boy #2. I'm super nervous about how my little mama's boy is going to react to the new baby. He's a great, easy going little boy but my husband travels for work so it's the two of us a lot of the time.
  • I'm not that creative but I've seen a ton of great ideas on pinterest after I already announced it that I wish I had done. With my first son I just gave my mom a little photo album that said "Grandma's Brag Book" with a picture of the ultrasound in it.
  • I'm 31 weeks and have gained 16. I think with my first pregnancy I had gained about 22 at this point so I'm pretty happy with the 16. I am 136 to begin with at 5'4" so a pretty average weight. My dr wants me to gain 25-35. With my son I gained 36 and that last five was killing me so I hope to only gain 30 at the most with…
  • I am due March 10th. This is my second as well! I posted in the March 2015 group as well just now. I am terrified to have the second so thanks for the tips :). I know I will be able to handle it but I'm worried about my 3.5 year old since we are really close. My husband travels a LOT for work so it's the two of us probably…
  • Hi everyone! I am new to this group (just found it!) but I am due on March 10th with my second little boy--I have a 3.5 year old. My eating has been horrible over the holidays but I'm ready to start tracking again. I'm great at the fitness side of things since I teach cycle classes, Bodyworks (light weights/high reps), and…
  • Hi Bri, we are almost exactly the same weight and height. I weigh about 135 now but go anywhere between 130 and 138. I am the same height as you. How long did you stay at 115? I am asking because in college for a year or so I was on basically a starvation diet and weighed 115 but it wasn't realistic for me. Now I lift…
  • Since you aren't that big to begin with I think what telepneff said is right on. The guys you're talking about are probably much bigger initially and have more to lose. To me, that is one of the the worst things about being smaller in stature and not having very much to lose. It takes longer and you have to be more…
  • Hi Mary, I have a two year old son and I struggle with eating well too. I get a lot of exercise since I teach fitness but I don't have very much self control at all. Are you drinking enough water to keep up with your breastfeeding need? I was constantly hungry too but I figured out that a good part of it was needing more…
  • Hi, can I join the group late? I asked the same question a few months ago and then fell off the wagon basically instantaneously :). I'll introduce myself again since if you blinked you missed me! I live in Southern Arizona, have an almost three year old son and have been married 8 years. I am a part time environmental…
  • I am taller than you but I think we are close. Age: 36 Height: 5'3.5" CW: 134 HW: 141 (besides pregnancy when I was 174 :)) LW: 112 (very unhealthy for me, eating a cup of soup a day and still exercising...) GW: 125-130 I have one little boy who is 2.5 and eating is my issue. I LOVE to workout but also love to eat a bunch…
  • Welcome! You have a good attitude. Enjoy your vacation! :)
  • Wow, congratulations! 45 lbs is great! I love lifting weights and try to eat well for the most part although diet is my downfall. I love the gym and have no problem getting there 5-6 days a week but if there is chocolate in the house I need to eat it :). My biggest dietary downfall is I don't eat enough protein. Boxing and…
  • Congratulations! How is your diet? What is your fitness routine like? Do you drink enough water? It's hard to target one particular area but is usually just a matter of losing some bodyfat. Unless, of course, you are bloated regularly due to some digestive problems or something. I had a baby 2.5 years ago and even though…
  • The last few pounds are the toughest. I am pretty much at a good weight but would like to lose another 1-3% bodyfat and it's hard! Sometimes I'm a little jealous of people that have more to lose because they see their progress quicker :). We need a little more information to help. How many calories are you eating a day?…
  • I have before and I think it is mainly related to jealousy. I teach fitness as a side job (my full time job is an environmental engineer) and in my full-time office I constantly have people eating McDonald's and stuff for lunch and making excuses for it. Honestly I don't care if they eat McDonald's but I think they feel…
  • My bodyfat is 17.1%. I actually don't eat super great. I eat well but I need more protein and less sugar. I teach spin classes though so I do a LOT of cardio. I also have a 2.5 year old so I run around a lot chasing him. I think doing what you're doing is better (watching your diet) than my lots of cardio. If I didn't…
  • Hi Cari, I am in a similar boat. I am 5'4", 131 lbs at 17% bodyfat (I just did the bod pod). I am pretty happy with this but would like to maintain this and maybe lose 1-2% of bodyfat. I just need to watch what I'm eating a bit more. I lift weights 4 times a week, run twice, teach spin twice, and teach yoga once. Welcome…
  • Attractiveness matters, in my opinion. I want my husband to be attracted to me and I want to be attracted to him. If he gained a lot of weight I would be less attracted to him and that would have a negative effect on our marriage. But, on the other side, gaining a lot of weight will ultimately affect your health too and…
  • Hi everyone. Hope you don't mind if I join your challenge. My name is Teresa and I am 36, married 8 years with a 2.5 year old son. We live in southern Arizona. I have been on MFP for a few years and pretty consistent for the past six months. It helps me a lot. I do great with the exercise part (I am a fitness instructor…
  • Yes, it used to happen a lot more to me but lately I've been trying to drink more water if I feel like I'm constantly hungry (and don't have a reason to be like having a lot of tough workouts lately or something). I generally overeat due to something emotional like stress or sadness.
  • I really like being strong just like everyone said and I love the way my body is compact and much smaller when I'm lifting regularly. If you plan on having kids (or have kids or even dogs!) it is so nice to be able to play at the playground with them without getting tired. I can lift up my 30 lb 2.5 year old as many times…
  • I'm still nursing and working out pretty heavily as well. I teach cycling and lift weights and run some sprints. I was setting my calories at 500 extra and not losing any weight. I decided to just set my calories at maintenance and eat back my exercise calories and I've lost a couple pounds and a ton of bodyfat. That's…
  • I'm not from here but I've lived in Southern Arizona for 7 1/2 years. I don't mind it but it's not the place I want to live forever. I love the monsoons, the mountains, and the cold mornings. I also love all the family and friend visitors we get in the winter :). I don't like the extreme heat, lack of grass, the crime, and…
  • I just joined this group and I was thinking the same thing. With my build I'm happy with myself at 130. I usually am between 133 and 138. RIght now I'm at about 20% bodyfat and I would like to get a little leaner but not a lot. I lift weights 3-5 times a week, teach cycling and yoga, and run a few times a week. I don't…
