I have the same, Garmin Forerunner 110 and it does. I've tested it in everyday lifre and found out that I burn only 70 cal per hour during working (sitting at the computer).

THIS. I would rather double check your HRM setup, as your heart rate, comparing with your age, means that you are in 100% of training zone most of the time. You should target 70% or 80% for most of your cardio training (125-140 HR), to be in fat burning zone which also improve your aerobic capacity. you can go higher, but…

water! yes, it looks like I am full of water! that is way my legs don't look more masculine, but more flabby, fat and flabby... what do you think, is it something that is going to be changed over time or I am just that type of the body?

I preferred cardio over the weight lifting before (I did a lot of spinning and intervals on my home bike before). But this place and ppl around MFP made me think about and do hard lifting. I am still into cardio 3 times a week, and sometimes I am doing 20-30 minutes intervals on treadmill after work out, so I've got the…

What happened to me, than? I am almost at the same weight when I was starting it, and now, after 2 months of work out I can not pull my skinny jeans over my tights that use to be loose on me?

ha? if sport can't tone, what can?

both. and i thought it might be a problem, that women shouldn't do the same thing as men do.

paleo diet is not my type of nutrition, even now I am struggling to meat my daily protein goal. I am more fruits/veggies type of eater (as long as I don't eat cookies :-)) and running not working for me neither, no fat loss, just greater endurance.

My only-one is 13. I'll add you all, girls :-))

I've just recently got myself HRM and it was huuuuge surprise. MFP's calories are far overestimated. I found out with HRM wearing that I was burning at least half of what MFP says. But still, it is my case, because I'm quite fit. if you wish to be more accurate with that, get HRM.

my case. I lost 10 kg before I came here, and now struggling with the last 5 I want to lose (those I didn't have at the time when my profile picture is taken). or to exchange fat for muscles. or, to go down to 20% fat. or, whatever to take me back where I was just few years ago...

I have the other question: I've got Garmin Forerunner 110 with a chest strap and wander is it going to be useful for my work out in the gym? For running is just perfect...

I've started with clean eating/cooking almost a year ago. firstly, my family resisted the changes, they wanted to have the "old style tasty" meals... and than I started to cook for them semi-clean food and take out mine portions before I finish the meal with all of that "old taste" (meaning dressings, sauces...). Day after…

Thank you all for considering my problem. Probably I missed to mention that 55 kg was my normal adult weight for a long time, till two years ago when I dealt with some personal issues by eating and sitting. I just wished to get back were I was at my 40s. And to gain some muscles for the first time in my life. I hoped that…

Switch your carbs and protein around on ratios and stick with the 1300 calories per day for a week and see what happens. Your BMR is right around there so I think you should be okay if your exercise is burning at least 300 calories per workout. [/quote] I'll try that. I am having the problem with my carbs intake anyway,…

When I lost my first 10 kg (in three months) I wasn't counting calories. Just eating healthy, fruits, veggies, lean meat, no sugar, no white flour, white rice, no frosted meals juts cooked, boiled and steamed. I paid special attention to my sodium intake. And did some kind of home version of cardio and strength training 30…

Hi fab 40! I am 45, married for 14 years with one son of 12yo and two step daughter (26 and 19), changing my life style from extremely sedentary to extremely active life style over the year. It just hit me last summer when I ended up with severely high cholesterol (kind of genetic type now treated with medicines) that put…

hey, I do just an opposite: only 10 minutes of cario to warm up, than weights (30 to 45 in), and for the finish 20 to 30 min HIIT cardio. works for me.

When I went out for a jog three months ago, I was like going to die on the road after 500 meters (0.3 miles?) , with short breath and week legs. Then I googled and found this program http://www.c25k.com/ which I followed religiously. After 6 weeks I was able to run more then 5 km (3.1 mi) in less than 30 minutes. (At the…

Hi, I'm chocacolic too, but we're already friends. I started last June with 10 kg surplus, but the last round seems to be the hardest (I came to MFP with last 5 kg and plateauing, I think). see you on the way to fit body!
