  • Target also carries a few different styles of tall yoga pants in their stores. I rely on them and Old Navy for now...
  • For work I do a little bit of everything but my main instrument is the clarinet.
  • I'm a public school band director. I currently work with elementary kids teaching beginning band, I've been in my current district for 10 years and absolutely love it. I also do a fair amount of freelance/gigging orchestral and chamber work but that rarely pays the bills ;)
  • I don't have any pets. I grew up with cats and I don't have the space or lifestyle to support owning a dog. That being said, I see people and their pets as a package deal. I couldn't dream of asking someone to give up their pet for me (nor would I expect that). But if someone had one that I really couldn't stand, I'd have…
  • Close friends and family - about 30 pounds. Took until 50 until other acquaintances started asking if I was losing weight. I look different at 50lbs down but I don't look nearly as different as shorties who lose a comparable amount. Ahh, the tall girl's lament.... PS - Just a hair under 6' started at 270.
  • Lots of good ones here but I'm going to have to say Alias. Loved that show and had a massive girl crush on Jennifer Garner :)
  • I think you have to give yourself permission to not like someone who's attracted to you. In the past I've struggled really hard with trying to force something because someone was attracted to me and I wasn't really attracted to them. For me it was a mind shift from "am I worthy of their attention" to "are they worth mine."…
  • Mine is also listed as the same as it was when I was 16. I'm sure I was lying about my weight then. No one has ever brought up changing it so I never did! At one point I was close to 90 over (yikes!) Now I'm within 35. I'd love to be below next time I go in, but that's not for a few years!
  • The prepared hummus that I get is usually about a 2Tablespoon/30g serving.
  • I've got 38 inch legs. and...... I can teach you to play just about any musical instrument. (bagpipes and accordions don't count)
  • Pumpkin Pierce. (went with my first female pet's name) if I were a dude - Remus Pierce. I love these!!
  • OMG, are you in Australia? Whenever I visit my friend there I can't get enough of sweet chili stuff or that mountain bread. I haven't been able to find anything similar enough to that bread here in the states. :( Your wrap sounds delicious. Hope it holds you over!
  • Ugh, add another vote to the "You'd be gorgeous if you could just lose some weight" or When I played sports, hated being called a "big girl" by the (male) coaches. I'm tall so I know that was part of the reference but I cringed every time. or You carry your weight so well! I don't care how I carry it, I just want it off! :)
  • I have a cute chunky pair of glasses that I can't work out in or do yoga in. They don't fit quite right and slide off way too easily. But I have another better fitting pair that don't bother me while doing any of those things. I also find that wearing a thin elastic headband over them holds them in place really securely…
  • Wow y'all. After reading your responses, I need a cold shower...
  • Bookmarked and drool worthy.
  • Purdue and UK. College rivalries never die. I'll be a Hoosier for life! Green Bay Packers!!!!
  • That I'm back in the classroom getting ready for band camp next week. I have so much more to do and my summer break has eroded my attention span to that of a gnat!!
  • Huge congratulations to you! Not only did you lose 145 pounds but I'd say you lost about 15 years as well!
  • For the first couple of months mine was pretty accurate. Now, it's not even close. I've been stuck at the same weight for about 8 weeks now and that "if every day..." number makes me want to scratch my eyes out.
  • moi aussi!! :-)
  • Anything floral.. Rose, lavender etc. gag. It's like eating soap.
  • A few "special ingredients" that I like... A couple table spoons of cocoa powder or Chipotle Peppers and their sauce or Butternut Squash/canned pumpkin
  • Not trying to be too cynical but from some of my observations, some guys will think you're not wearing makeup just because it's not obvious. There's truth to the joke about taking x amount of time trying to look like you're not wearing any. My "no makeup" look is a tinted moisturizer, powder, mascara and gloss. It's low…
  • On this side topic - operas and orchestras are all about the drama. I went to one of the top music schools here in the states and played in the opera orchestra for a couple of seasons as well as going to classes with all my fellow musicians. You couldn't write a soap that tops the kind of stuff that went on there! On…
  • I've never felt like making meeting someone a priority. In my profession, I work with almost exclusively females. As I've gotten older it's been harder for me to meet new people. I'm really good at being the friend. I'm tall (which is a good thing) but gaining a crap ton of weight certainly didn't help. Forgot to add: I'm…
  • Love when a man puts his hand on the small of my back when walking around, going through doors etc. Makes me swoon every time. Love when a man can look at a problem and cut through the emotions and really see it objectively. And that he can call me out on it when I can't. Random - I love when a man adjusts his…
  • I actually prefer "They must be gay".
  • Afraid of change, Afraid of staying the same, when temptation calls I just look away. - Barenaked Ladies Sums up my life right now.
  • The hardest part about playing actual sports on a date vs a sporty activity is that if you're not on similar levels it can suck the fun out of it. For example, I used to golf pretty regularly but, for a variety of reasons, haven't for a few years. I went on an outing last week and it was horrible. Apparently golfing goes…
