  • You can also use silk tofu for this. Lower in fat + it's vegan :) You can add it to smoothies etc. to up the protein.
  • Thanks for the tips! I will try them :) I do eat dairy, but try to not eat so much of it.
  • I have the same problem. I have had good periods where I'm able to actually restrain myself, but now I'm where I can't have anything in the house. Like today: Had chocolate that I bought for something on Tuesday, but now I ate it all ... :( Apart from not having anything in the house, I try to eat something healthy…
  • It is! You should make sure to be moderately active for your health, though. That's important for your body and general well-being. But in my case, I don't have much time for exercise and I rarely have those huge burns others have. But by watching my intake versus what I burn, I've lost weight.
  • I'm vegetarian! I cut out meat first and kept eating fish and seafood for a year or so, but I've been vegetarian for 6 years or so now. There are just so many reasons for sticking to a vegetarian diet and I love exploring new food. :) Feel free to add me, always looking for new veggie friends!
  • I've been a vegetarian for 6-7 years. I eat some dairy and the occasional egg. When it comes to dairy, it's mostly cheese for me. I use plant based butter, milk and yoghurt. I'm always looking for more veggie friends! I love to find new staple meals and insipirations. Feel free to add me! :)
  • Vegetarian too, and commited! Feel free to add me :)
  • I've gained a lot on Yasmine. I then shed it after I quit them, but then I've gone back on a few times because it wreaks havoc on my skin when I'm off them. I'm off at the moment and now have the skin issue. I have no idea how to not gain on til pill as I always have. :/
  • I use: 1 can of chickpeas, rinsed juice from 1/2 lemon some extra virgin olive oil To taste: fresh garlic salt flakes pepper coriander cumin I blend that in a food processor and then add some water until I reach wanted texture and also taste for what I need to add to get it like I want it. You can also add chili, I do that…
  • I'm also battling a heavy addiction to sugar. No success so far. Only thing I have truly managed, is to stop drinking fruit juice or other sweet beverages and only drink water or black coffee and tea. It just takes so much willpower to avoid sugary things for me, but I plan on making it! Sugar is one of those things we…
  • Yum, that looks tasty!
  • I've just started to use quinoa myself. But it works both for dinner and breakfast, as mentioned already. I love variations of this recipe: http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/warm-and-nutty-cinnamon-quinoa-recipe.html
  • Any way you would use a regular potato, you can use sweet potato instead. But it's tastier + healthier :) I love baking them and mashing them. Sometimes I mix in some red lentils to up the protein and I add various vegetables (love sugar snap peas, a great mix of textures). For spices I've found ginger powder gives it a…
  • Great news! Congratulations on work done and health achieved :)
  • 32 in some months. I still can't believe that I'm not 28 ... ;)
  • I have really big calves (and thighs) as well, no matter how skinny I am. It's just the way it is! My mother, a physical therapist, tries to comfort me with the fact that it's very important for your body that you have strong muscle there, but it doesn't really help much :P I also have trouble finding boots.
  • I tried the banana ice cream. Amazing! I've spread the recipe to a friend who loved it as well. I added a tbsp of chocolate powder (the kind used to make chocolate milk) @ 17 extra kcal. Yum!
  • I'm definitely going to try that!
  • I have a sweet tooth, too! Fruit and berries is always good, maybe as a smoothie if there's room for a bigger snack. ;) I find a small amount of nuts helps. Also, there's dates or dried apricots.
  • Do you mean straight after the meal or as a snack later on?
  • Bergen, Norway!
  • I've been a vegetarian for 7-ish years. Trying to eat more vegan meals and ridding my diet of a huge amount of sugar and cheese. My diary is open to friends (just opened it) and I hope this will give me the extra motivation now as my goal is to be healthy :) Feel free to add me, any vegetarian, vegan or veg-curious!
  • Welcome :) I'm a vegetarian working on achieving a more vegan diet. I like this group a lot: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/45-happy-herbivores Both vegetarians, vegans and "curious" welcome there. Good luck! :)
  • I've been a vegetarian for seven years or so. In a transition period I still ate fish or seafood, but that now happens only a couple times a year. I know a lot of vegans and vegetarians are annoyed that people call themselves vegetarians when they sometimes eat meat or seafood, as I myself am annoyed when I say I'm…
  • Hi! I've been a vegetarian for about 7 years now. I am one voluntarily, and it's one of the best descisions I've ever made. To make the transition easier seeing as you don't really chose to do this, it can be a good thing to try substituting your meat with similar items: beans, lentils, tofu, ready-made burgers, "sausage"…
