no such thing as unhealthy food. People are unhealthy not food.

I try to eat clean including fully cooking items that may contain salmonella or e.coli. I also try to wash my produce to help reduce some of the fecal load. For the most part, the FDA does a pretty good job at ensuring our food is relatively clean. I know they allow some fecal and pest contamination, but it doesnt seem to…

TL:DR yes food addiction is a real thing as is food restriction (brain is sick in both of these cases) yes the brain rewards us for eating but i might give this as pass as i just realized it was talking about sugar/cho addiction. food addiction though is a real world thing and provides the sick brain with the same…

I did the best when I had a bag of raw veggies to nibble while I was prepping otherwise I'd "taste" myself into calorie oblivion. Chewing sugar free gum or drinking water/tea/wine :) also helped.

of course it can work and i also havent seen the evidence to say carbohydrate restriction is the be-all-end-all for PCOS (I would even argue it is detrimental in the long run). I was able to lose 80lbs and conceive my son with portion control and metformin. It was a simple diet for me I ate what I liked but just in smaller…

What is the thinking of taking something "sacred" like bread (bread of life, staff of life, body of christ) and demonizing it (ie Atkins, paleo) what are the mental gymnastics required for that change of thought? Nevermind I further read the article and it's to sell his book, LOL! Good trick though.

Just a note in the US it is either licensed or registered. A clinical nutritionist/dietitian probably deals more with acute care level patients. You will either see RD, RDN, or LD
-
No! A registered dietitian goes to school for 4 years, one year of an internship (which is an extremely competive program), and must pass a national board exam.

portion control and metformin worked for me and helped conceive my son

I've read additional Magnesium and Chromium above the RDA, but I dont know recommendations or even if there is actual research to support.

That's just anti-American! Turn in your semi-automatic weapon, bottle rockets, and McDonald's club card

There is nothing innately wrong with fast food, and if OP is in an environment where she does not have access to prepare meals then it is better to have a plan instead of setting herself up for failure. There are many on this weight loss site who have lost massive amounts of weight simply by watching portions ,and…

bring your scale, measuring cups, and measuring spoons. Think about portion control.

Which tribe? That's pretty cool how do they use that big gourd. I wonder if the reasoning for the differing size jugs was possibly another innate way to control harmful and beneficial bacteria. Sorry tangent that's just really neat.

and boom there goes the dynamite why is any food healthy and good does that mean there is a food out there that is sickly and bad? If the food is bad and sick is it a minor thing like food was just a little naughty, or is food outright bad and has robbed a bank or something?

Good luck that would be too complicated and time consuming for me. 3 meals w/ an emphasis on veggies has worked the best for me in the past.

If you enjoy your largest meal being evening why do you have to change it? You could space it out so that your meals look like 1/3 calories breakfast and lunch and 2/3 dinner. Or if youre a snack eater something like 25% breakfast, 25% lunch, 10% snacks, and 40% dinner of your daily calories.
-
Personally, I've never been a grazer and when I graze it's mindless. I have to set aside time and eat mindfully. 3 meals works the best for me to reduce calorie intake.

This I've really started to get into carbonated water after I figured out it wasn't necessarily the sweetness (although I like it), but the carbonation I craved.
