If the people giving you advice call it a carb and look at you with a blank stare when you refer to it as a carbohydrate then run far from that advice. Carbohydrates as others have said are 1 of 3 macronutrients. Humans need all 3 to provide the energy we need to function.

Do you have an issue with water shortages in the Netherlands? I live in the West of the US and many states suffer from water shortages, and as a result some areas are forced to used recycled waste water or water transported from many miles.

I like that the Australia one has fruits/vegs as the foundation. I never could get into the American because we used grains as our foundation.

never watched sugar intake what helped the most and eventually lead to my son was portion control and slight modification of carbohydrates 40-45%. Calorie control worked the best for me.
