  • salt and pepper or pineapple are my favorite but tomatoes are good too.
  • Over the weekend I fixed an angel food box cake. The only thing you do is dump a can of crushed pineapple into the bowl with the mix. Stir it up. Bake it at 350* according to the directions on the box for time. It really was good. Husband and son both liked it as well.
  • That is an awesome idea! I think so many times we forget to be positive. We get so tied up in our normal everyday stuff we just run on auto pilot! Great idea!!!
  • I'm up for any challenge. I'm going to try to get my walk in everyday at work this week. I haven't looked at the weather so I'll go from here. If I can't walk at lunch I'll hit the elliptical when I get home in the evening.
  • We own a 73 blue Camaro. Big block engine all original. It is totally awesome! My husband bought it new. Only thing different is we bought a replica am/fm radio for it because it only came with AM.
  • my 22 year old son drives a 73 two tone green one like this. He has put hours of work into it! It's his baby! His great uncle bought it new in 73 and my husband bought it around 2000.
  • I'm pear shaped with larger limbs and wear a medium top and 12/14 pants. I'm also 5' 7.5" . I started in a 2xl top and a 22/24 pants. I would love to get down to an 8/10 pants. I'm thinking about 40 more pounds. I'm thinking I want to be about 145 lbs. My original goal is 160. I'm at 173 now.
  • I like fixing my fish on the stove top. I'll put just enough butter in bottom so the fish won't stick or burn. I salt and pepper them and my son likes seasoning salt on them. We like to sauté onions with the fish also.
  • I agree, what works for one doesn't work for everyone! Do what you know works for you.
  • WOW! You have done fantastic!!!
  • Hey you can do this! It is a great site! I don't think I would have lost the 88 lbs I've lost with out finding it! Log everything you eat and do for exercise. If you goof off and mess up one day, know it's ok tomorrow get right back on! I know how you feel! I use to hurt all the time! I was ashamed of what I weighed! Know…
  • Hey, I'm Sue. I'm 52 years old and I had 100 + to loose when I started Feb. 2012. I'm loosing slowly but will win the race! I couldn't put down that I needed to loose anymore than 100lbs then. Even though I knew I needed to loose about 125. It was a head thing not agreeing with reality lol! I'm here everyday,…

  • I'd try goodwill or consignment shops! I was wearing a size 22/24 when I first started my journey and am now in a 12/14. Our goodwill has really nice name brand cloths. $3.75 for pants and tops $5 for my winter coat. For that price I don't feel like I have to do without clothes until I reach my goal. I'll probably continue…
  • I had Plantar Fasciitis and a torn Achilles tendon and 2 small bone spurs all at one time in my left ankle/heal. Yep I put off taking care of it for too long! I ended up wearing a boot for 19 weeks. The only time I got to take it off was when I showered. It was a LLLOOOOONNNNGGGG 19 weeks. I was thankful that I didn't have…
  • Hey, I'm 5'7 1/2" I started in Feb. 2012. I have lost 88 lbs so far. I think that is pretty slow! I currently weigh 173. I'm wanting to loose another 20 lbs. I'm 52 years old. I'd like to loose the rest before my birthday in February. If not I'm ok with that, because I know one day I will be at my goal! You can do it!
  • yes I have! I also have a red and black dress that I wore a long long time ago that I have kept. It's my motivation to get back into it. It's a 10 and I'm in a 12 or 14 dress right now. 2 years ago when I started I was in a 22/24. So maybe someday soon I'll be able to wear it again. Or if not wear it at least know I did it!
  • There is so many things that I think are wonderful! I don't hurt all the time is probably the most amazing! I can go shopping and enjoy the clothes I find. I look in the mirror and I'm not ready to bolt! I love:love: the fact that my husband whistles at me now. He never said anything when I was 88 lbs heavier, never…
  • thanks for mentioning it! I love the cherry dannon greek yogart!
  • I find that it helps me to look at others accomplishments every day. I like to tell mfp's good job, nice day, way to go! It also gives me incouragement. So even if I'm patting someone else on the back, I feel a push to move forward.
  • people not closing closet/cabinet doors. if you get something out and make a mess clean up after yourself! people whom act one way to your face another to your back. ok I'm no different now than before I lost 87 lbs. If you didn't talk to me then why would you now?

  • 26 years ago I entered into a my marriage. We said forever. Has it always been easy? NO but we were willing to work on our problems. Today after 26 years he is my best friend! • I have lost 87 lbs going thru menopause. I am post menopausal because I had a hysterectomy 16 years ago. I dont have a lot of the hot flashes, just warmer. I'm a cold natured person normally. I find that the best way for me to lose weight is low carb
  • I know the feeling! I've lost 87 and I can still look at myself without clothes and think I see just as much fat as before I lost the 87. My husband tells me definately not! But, in my head and thru my eyes I see fat! I guess in my case it just flabby now instead of filled out? I have no idea if that makes any sense? I can…

  • I had problems like this back in April thru August. No matter what I did I wasn't loosing anything. Thru my doctor's guidance I have stopped taking everything. I've always had issues with fluid retention. Right now the only real problem I'm having (I had hysterectormy 16 years ago, I"m 52 now) is my normally very low BP is…
