  • So the 1610 calories allotted to you are the total calories. This already has a deficit built into it. So when you go to the gym and burn some calories they add it to your total calories so that your NET calories will add up to the number MFP gave you (1610). So: In the morning MFP will say you have 1610 calories for the…
  • Do you eat your exercise calories? You don't have to eat all of them, just some. Or eat something low in calories, like some raw carrot or some fruit. It's ok to go over your goal calories a bit :)
  • So I'm late doing my washing so I had to wear a pair of pants I haven't worn in ages cause they were too tight and have been like that for the last year so.. And guess what!?!? THEY FIT!!!! They are even a tiny little bit too big! YAY!!!
  • I think giving contructive feedback to food diaries is good. I like it when people tell me things on mine. I know when I have had a not-so-great day and appreciate people being honest. It means that I know that they are actually looking at my diary, and that they are here to support and encourage me, as I am to them…
  • This is a highly debated topic. Sugar from fruit is ok. Just try to stay away from processed and added sugars. So thinks like lollies, cakes and sweets are an occasional thing. But remember: this is a lifestyle change. So do what works best for you. If you need a bit more sugar in your day then add it. Just don't go over…
  • You look great. Keep up the excellent work. You look so happy :)
  • I met mine last year 26 August (a year yesterday) at a bachelors and spinsters (bns) ball. He was friends with my friends but we had never met. I am so glad we did :D
  • Keep going it will happen! I had a look at your diary (only a few days worth) and seems like you have an ok diet. It may sound crazy but you may need to up your calories. Read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 Also, try to steer clear of processed foods as they…
  • Great work. Can definitely see the differences.. Also I love your hair!
  • http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 Definitely look at this. I am on 1730. Which I got from that.
  • Have no idea what to suggest sorry. Just wanted to say: CONGRATS!
  • When I work out in the morning I eat afterwards. And I just have my normal breakfast (weetbix) then go about my day. The best advise would probably just see what works for you. Try eating before and after (though it probably wouldn't be a great idea to eat a massive meal then work out. maybe try something light. A piece of…
  • I don't think I have ever cried in a movie... Then again I try to stay away from sad and scary/gory movies...
  • I have never broken a bone.. Despite horse riding my entire life (and falling off that many times I have no idea. Would probably be up near the 100 mark or more), snowboarding numerous times and playing just about every sport that you could think of. I have never had the chicken pox. I am 20 and only got and injection for…
  • Perhaps do some warm up, e.g. a light walk, and then do a really good stretch. Could help to sooth the muscles. Take a couple of days off, then when it calms down, start again and maybe don't push yourself so much. Just do the easier moves to start with and then build up the the harder ones.
  • If your eating breakfast at your desk, can you take a bite, then do a little work, then another bite, the work, bite then work and so on? It would spread the meal out and break up the working a bit too. As for lunch. Half an hour is really not that short a time. I have an hour, but often don't get up from my desk til a…
  • If you want to work out then work out! It's simple! But as the person above said, be carefully of crazy people. Probably best to go to a gym or workout at home it its at night!
  • Perhaps go to the 'Website Suggestion/Feeback' section on the message boards. Though the best way I can think of to get an even more accurate reading of calories burnt would be to invest in a heart rate monitor. You can then add your own exercise and just input the reading from the monitor.
  • There may not be an entry for it in the database. The best thing would be to get a heart rate monitor. This way you can set it up and it will calculate your calories burnt based on your heart rate. It will a lot more reliable and accurate than MPF's calculations. And if you get one use it for every time you exercise. I…
  • That's a great achievement. You should be really proud. Take photos. Seriously. Take some every month. You will see the difference then. I never took photos when I started, and I wish I did. I am a little over half way on my journey. I took some last month and this month I can actually see the difference!
  • I eat weetbix for breakfast. I have three and this keeps me full until about 10.30 am (I eat at about 7.30). One of my favourite lunches (though it may sound gross/really boring) is rice and a tin of tuna. I have about 1 cup of rice and the tuna. I mix it all together and it is actually quite yummy and keeps me full.…
  • I haven't ridden for the last year and a half due to lack to time. But I still have my horse at home. Actually got 3 there. Mine, my old one and my sisters. One 15.2hh chestnut thoroughbred, a 17hh black/brown thoroughbred and a flea-bitten 15 hh welsh x arab. I really want to get back into it, but the horses are now a bit…
  • Thanks. I was looking before and saw those ones. I understand you need to start really slow with them. Is that correct? My mum has a pair of minimalist shoes and she really likes them. She also has someone she goes to the gym with who has the five finger ones.
  • If you want to know the calories you are burning I suggest you get a heart rate monitor (hrm). I have a Polar FT7 (which has a chest strap). Polar seem to be pretty popular. But do a search in the message board and you'll find heaps of info..
  • I looked into getting this. It says that it can make it heavier or lighter. Each person is different. The main reason I did get it was because of that, and not being able to control when I got it.. Search online about it. It may give you some info...
  • I have been with my boyfriend for nearly a year now, and we talk about getting married and having kids and everything. We are hoping to get engaged soon (when he saves the money for they ring, and we want to move out first). We will be having a fairly long engagement. Probably 2 years. We want to pay for everything…
  • I have recently got some great stuff from Big W.. And Cotton On Body had some nice pants.....
  • And if they aren't on the database, look them up on the internet.. There will be the macros for them somewhere, then just add your own food for it..
