I have trouble with mixing really hot liquid with whey protein, it clumps and is gross. I mix it with just about 1/4 cup of room temp water so it dissolves and then add hot coffee. Tastes great and no lumps :-)

I was at a nutrition shop this weekend looking for new protein powder as was told that women only absorb 20-25 grams of protein at a time, and that the rest is just urinated out. So I was told to use 3/4 scoop of my new powder, which would be 25 grams, at a time otherwise I'm just wasting it. ??????

I was eating about 800-1000 cals 9 months out (RNY). I've only lost 4 lbs since January! I've just bumped up my net calories to 1200 and have stepped up the exercise.......hoping this gets the weight loss moving. I've started weight training so I'm not sure if I'm just gaining muscle?
