You nailed it for me. Denial. Yesterday and today I have really seen myself...and I don't like it. I too am a new mom and want to get this stress eating under control before I pass it on.

<3 :D thanks everyone...

<3 I have a 10 week old, 30lbs to lose and needing motivated motivational buddies!

Good for you! I also babywear & dog owner! Currently using a Ka'taan wrap but it's a bit big...so not so great for my back. But we also have an ergo on loan, I am trying to get him used to it. He's only 10 weeks and 11lbs so I use a rolled blanket to prop him up, facing in. Let's cheer each other on!!! :D

I have hit a plateau, LO is 10 weeks. The past 3 days have been a s#show of eating. Hosting friends for visits have consumed my kitchen/cooking energy & time and dinner has been cookies and cheese... Before this slip, I was doing nightly salad dinners and popcorn as a snack. Prewashed greens ( that I don't rewash!) &…

I am hoping to lose 20lbs in the first two trimesters... With the indigestion & nausea that is creeping in as I approach week 6 I think it will be possible. I am huge on my Vega protein and spinach w milk smoothies. And feel that my micronutritients for the little bugaboo are at a great level... Plus floradix, dhea…

That's my dream- to lose in this first trimester. I'm 5'6" 177lbs and only 5 weeks. I don't want to gain with this pregnancy. I'd like to lose in these early weeks with the indigestion etc (no nausea yet!, I know it will come...) and then not reach past mid 180's. I'm eating 1500cal daily.

Thanks Kaetmarie! I will hope to maintain. Excited to meet another due in late December!

Thanks so much Grok Rock. I really appreciate it.

Thanks Grok Star I just had a 1/8 slice of cake at a celebration here at work.... conflicted with whether or not this is a slip or ? I had told myself that I was doing the 3-0-1... that cake wasn't part of a meal... it wasn't emotional eating, I've not made a list of foods to avoid (yet) thoughts on whether or not this…

Super inspiring story- thanks for sharing!! I also have PCOS and find it super hard to lose weight. I'm back on MFP after a few months of procrastination and giving up- this time I'm watching the sugars like a hawk and keeping my calories low. you ask were I will be in 6 months- I hope to be down 15 lbs or more!
-
I've read about a a few studies citing good weight loss after a short term VLCD. I too have PCOS and struggle to lose a pound never mind the 30 that needs to go. The only time in the past 4 months that I have lost is when I did a juicing fast for 10 days. it was drastic. I'm going to try something like <800 and see how it…

I second Sharon Nehring's comment about never having heard about PCOS turning into cancer. I'm a sexual and reproductive health RN (and have PCO) and I've never heard that.

I'M IN! Friend me (especially if you are doing the intermittent fasting lifestyle change) so we can cheer each other on... and call each other out when we aren't tracking~! (make sure you are sharing your diary for the extra accountability!)
-
exactly, we can't change our body shape- pear, apple, straight , inverse triangle... but we can change the size and tone!
-
I second this- squats and lunges... After doing years of what 'I' thought were good squats, my body sculpt instructor at the gym showed me just how low one has to go to get a GOOD SQUAT! wow. 5 burned, 10 hurt, 15 made me realize I had a long way to go but I had learnt the secret!

I started losing right away as well- I am 5'6" and 168.6 today (!) and would like a healthy BMI at 145lbs. I have lost a pound a week for the last two. That is pretty impressive for me since I did 3 months of WW to see the same and likely starved myself while trying.

A pal, who isn't a member of this group, posted " wanted to let you know that yesterday my sister had us spelling out the alphabet with arms straight out holding a medicine ball :) "

And the Hinge! And I have a rubber rope that I can do seated rows with! :-D

oooh! Found one- the Goblet Squat: http://www.livestrong.com/blog/never-grow-old/

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/quick-chicken-piccata/detail.aspx But cut back on the butter and oil. Plus, I use cocount oil not olive b/c it is solid at room temperature therefore it can take heat better, without oxidation- which is bad for our bodies.

THANKS!!

:embarassed: Um, what is NROWL? From all the posts about this ``NROWL``, I think it must be a weight lifting program... I`m hoping to start the `heavy lifting`quotient soon, and was thinking of buying kettle bells...is NROWL better? Thoughts and comments much appreciated!!

So very inspiring- thanks!!!

"And not feeling guilty for eating more... You are BANG ON Kathy! That's exactly how I am feeling tonight (night one, realizing that I have 900 cal remaining. egads. And I am sooo nervous about eating MORE. But really I doubt that all these MFPs are out scheming against my goals ;-P I'm going to get some yogurt and ground…

Sliced tomato, rub it on the burn... Seriously helps the sting of the burn. I (also fair) learnt this trick when living in South Africa and my then boyfriend's mom did this to sooth my terrible burn.

Since I just read this today- I'll include yesterday in my score... Me: 0 LNS: 1 (damn pecan pie leftovers from a BBQ!)

Looking great!! Could you tell us a bit more about keto? Is it a type of exercise?
-
I find you need to bake the kale for about 1hr at 200 to make them nice and crisp. A friend told me yesterday about rubbing the fresh kale with a pureed mixture of carrot, sunflowers/any nuts, curry paste and olive oil before she baked them- they tasted amazing!!! I usually just toss with olive oil and sea salt and bake...

WOW ! What an awesome recipe!!! I've got to try that without the ham- I'll add some spinach :-D I've even got the mini baking pan and all the ingredients in the fridge/cupboard right now. Thanks!!
