  • I add them to almost everything I can! Oats, smoothies, casseroles, every bolonaise sauce! They have so many nutrients (protein, vitamins, fibre just to name a few). I wouldn't say I feel any different, but combined with healthy eating, you feel better anyways. The only supplement I have that makes a huge difference is…

  • hey everyone! We are all over at the lowcarbfriends forum (not all low carbing) but it is a super active thread and you can learn loads of information.
  • JUDDD is most successful doing the full day, as it results in minimal calories ove a 36 hour period, not 24. Also, depending on how much you have to lose your DD cal might be too high (as mine were). The recomended at my weight is around 350 cal, but I do around 400 and am seeing results. The book states that the DD cal…
  • I have the same problem... I really do think you may need to lower DD cal. After reading the book, it appears more important to restrict DD cal rather than UD cal. It sets that skinny gene sirt 1 in action. I am trying really hard myself... I am a 'not much to lose' person myself, and I should be eating 350/1700. I was…
  • I try to save as many cal for dinner because I just get through my DD so much easier if i go to bed on a full stomach the night before. Mermer - I think I go over by 20%, and try and exercise it off! I am finding the lower the DD cal, the better the result on the scale. I read Dr. J's book last week, and he says that it is…
  • Wow, thats amazing, 16 pounds! I have no real knowledge of fat %, my scales are basic, but the pounds (or kilos) are slowly moving down. It has taken me weeks to work out how my body responds to the food I feed it, but feel like I am getting somewhere. Also, have ALOT more energy (feel like the energiser bunny sometimes…
  • Oh my goodness, it IS normal. And it is soooo frustrating. I nearly always go over my cal limit! Today I am trying graizing for the first half of the day. I made oatmeal with cinnamon and fresh berries and will nibble on that throughout the morning. Then I have a banana and salad roll for lunch which will leave me over…
  • I have exactly that problem...overeating on UD's :grumble: DD's are becoming much easier on the up side. I am only down a few pounds in 6 weeks, but also, don't have much to lose (about 15) so I figure the slower the better. But at the same time, of course I wish it was faster! So will work on my UD's. I have a MD on…
  • Welcome sparkling! If there is a function you can change your rotation. My DD's are TUES/THURS/SUN - My UD's are MON/WED/SAT and Friday is a Mid day. So in between UD/DD (1200) calories. You can use this as a changeover. But a MD should never be before a DD. So for example, if I had something on on a sunday, My rotation…
  • No, my fiance is south melbourne or sydney as they are now known, so we partied like its 1999, lol.... i went over today so will have a lower UD tomorrow. I am feeling bloated and fat ATM, hoping that will pass soon :)
  • I had this HHHUUUGGGEEEE bender on the weekend (it was football grand final in Australia)... I'm talkin sausages, chicken nuggets, bread (omg, lots!) pizza, chicken, nachos, wedges, bottles of beer, bottles of wine,:drinker: a bender! ... I'm am really struggling with my DD today. I gained 4 pound over the course of 2 days…
  • How interesting, I've never heard that before.... i'm just waiting for that whoosh!
  • Oh yeah the scales are moving down, I'm just curious.... ya know, the science of it. I ignore the scales when I haven't "been", lol.....
  • congrats! That does seem easy after all the fasting, but I know what you mean! Enjoy!:drinker:
  • yeah I do, but I cop alot of heat from my "non JUDDD" friends....... almost closed it to keep it to myself. Not logging todays UD cause I totally don't care. Im just eating fruit and olive bread anyways. Still got this damned flu  But feel free to add
  • Welcome back! I find hiding my WOE pretty simple, my fiance doesn't even know.. down days I just eat dinner, he has no idea, lol.... so far so good for me I am officially weighing in tomorrow so im excited! Know i am down ay least a couple of pounds. Calorie counting day to day does suck and this way you do get to enjoy…
  • The first week was SO hard on DD's it really does get easier the more you do. I just love food freedom the next day. Eating healthy dishes, rich sauces mmmmm.. im finishing my DD tonight and will make a huge vegie and meat lasanga tomorrow and then i plan to lose weight while i eat it, lol - I would never ever have said…
  • hi there! I make large pots of soup (cauliflower, minestrone, vegetable) and divide them into 100 cal portions and freeze them so I can grab them as I please. 100 cal protein shakes also, miso soup is really low. If I run low on cal at days end, stir fried cabbage with a little olive oil and curry powder is yummy and…
  • I'm still here!! Everyday! There is a very active JUDDD forum on 'lowwcarbfriends.com' too. I don't low carb but there are always heaps of people on there posting. Just google JUDDD and you will find a link :)
  • hey all! Looking for friends in the group... need people that understand the diet and not people that tell me I'm unhealthy (you know what I mean) :noway: So if you are also looking for that kind of friend, here I am! Send me a request :drinker:
  • thanks! That makes me feel better, I was bound to slip 1 day :flowerforyou:
  • yesterdays DD was tough! It was the start of TOM and I NEEDED sugar!!! So i had a 300 cal or so binge during the day (after being so good up until then, less than 100 cal) then just picked at dinner. Ended up about 700-800 cal. Still having my UD today though, hope it was just a one-off. Geez, we girls suffer, lol...
  • So for a 67kg woman, about 65 g protein a day? I'm still a little confused.. but 65 is about right anyways for me..
  • I also saw that horizon special and am interested in the health benefits as well as shedding some weight. I have been trying all year to move 5 kg which through deprivation and trying all fad diets available, have turned that into 9kg. and my body just didn't feel right. I thought my thyroid might be underactive so had all…
  • My first week completed and I feel great! The first couple of down days were HARD but yesterdays was ok. If it keeps getting easier, woo hoo! Haven't jumped on the scales but I feel more energetic and love, love, love having guilt free food freedom! My ONLY issue is sleeping on DD nights, even with most of my cal used for…
  • when fasting all day, what do you do when hunger pangs kick in? I find I need lunch but do like a big dinner too....
  • you look fantastic! I have always wanted the body you now have! Well done!
  • thanks! awesome post!
  • I believe you can just water fast if you like, as long as you don't go OVER 500, and yes anything up to your 2000 cal. I try and eat as much healthy stuff as I can on an UD just to keep up with vitamins and fibre I might lose with such a low DD. wish I could water fast, I still get so hungry, especially at night when I…
