  • Julie, This thing you said is amazing. I am 35 pounds gone, into my 100-plus weight loss goal and I notice how much better I feel with each pound. My striving for normal is not hurting with every step I take. My knees feel better with each pound that I take off. My shoulders feel better with each yoga class I do. I also…
  • I'm a recent returnee to MFP and my long term goal is to make it to onederland :) My short term goal is to get into some really nice hiking pants I bought for an upcoming trip in August. I can get into them now, but just barely and only if I don't move an inch while in them (not conducive to the hiking trip I will be on!)…
  • Congratulations on reaching onederland!!! Very inspiring. I am starting at approx. the same point as you and I hope to reach onederland too someday. It's been years since I've been there. I'm logging my food and working out again and I hope that these are my tickets to getting to my destination. You look great!
  • Hello....I have similar weight loss goals as you. I lost approx 50 pounds last year on MFP and felt great. My knee joints were improved and some of my tummy problems when I ate had gone away. I went off MFP and slowly my old habits started creeping back in and the weight along with it. Feel free to add me and we can…
  • Hello...we have similar weight loss goals. I lost a lot of weight (almost 50 pounds) last year using MFP, but I fell off the wagon and I've gained quite a bit of it back. I recently re-committed to MFP again and am back to food and exercise logging. My knee joints were feeling better last year and a lot of my stomach…
  • Hello, my name is Amy, I am in my mid 40s and I have similar weight loss goals as you. I started MFP awhile ago and it worked for me to loose nearly 50 pounds over a year ago. Unfortunately, I went off MFP and I piled on the pounds again. I have recently recommitted to MFP food and exercise logging again (this is what…
  • Hi Jess, I lost over 40 pounds on MFP last year and then 6 months or so ago I stopped logging. It's time to get myself back on track and I just got serious yesterday. I gained a lot back, so I needed to recommit. Lets keep each other accountable :). Friend request sent :)
  • Hi! Friend request sent. I dropped off MFP for a while as we'll and now that I'm back I'm looking for some new friends to help stay motivated :)
  • I'm recently back to MFP to hold myself accountable again. I've sent you a friend request. We can motivate each other to stay on track

  • Feel free to add me as a friend. My goal is over 100 to lose. I log my food and exercise pretty meticulously and that has really helped to hold myself accountable. It's been a challenge for sure, but I have committed to getting myself healthier for the long haul. Let's do it!
  • Me too! :) I experienced the same NSV and it's fantastic. No more one pill a day for me by just reducing the amount of food I ate and making healthier choices on the types of food I take. High fives for us :) Thanks for posting your NSV; it's a great one.
  • That is just a spectacular transformation! Very awesome and inspirational. Thanks also for posting your tips about food substitutions and I love that you have allowed yourself to eat your favorite foods as long as you make it yourself. That's a great tip! I have found that when I'm in the kitchen doing it myself, I seem to…
  • Congrats on stopping smoking! That is quite a challenge and quite the accomplishment. Good for you for wanting to get healthier. No worries about the mistakes :) Friend request sent. We can motivate each other to take off the kilos and get healthy.

  • What a great accomplishment for you. Thank you for sharing your story. You look great, but more importantly, you have reduced your risk of something like that happening to your back again. Very inspirational while the rest of us are on the same journey. I started in the 270s as well and I'm now in the 230s, so I'm moving…
  • Fantastic job! You look great. Thank you for posting your photos because they are really inspiring. I've got a 100 pound weight loss goal as well and I'm about 32 pounds towards that goal and people like you can really inspire us on our own journeys :)

  • 254 (sorry this is Tuesday morning; I fell asleep last night kind of early and forgot to post my weigh-in)
  • You are amazing. Love that you came out of this with a clean bill of health. Keep living clean :)
  • I'm the same height as you 5'11" :) and I've got over 100 pounds to lose. I'm logging my foods and exercises pretty regularly since joining MFP and it's been working nicely so far. I liked your blog. I'm 44 and have been lucky that my weight has not impacted my blood pressure and heart yet and no diabetes yet, but those…
  • I need some new friends too and have been logging both my exercise and food pretty consistently, with some exceptions due to travel. Great job on 50 pounds though...that is awesome! I've lost about 16 or so since February and I've been working out pretty hard to lose some more. I'll be dedicated with you! Friend message…
  • I am pretty new to MFP and don't have a lot of friends yet so I'm looking for some friends too to help motivate and support through our journey to health. I've got 100 pounds to lose and I've lost 16 so far. I've been logging my food and exercise pretty steadily since I've joined MFP and I have found that it helps keep me…
  • 259, down 1 pound from last week. I'll take it since there was a run in with some Easter babka and some easter chocolate this week and the babka and the chocolate won :) I take it in stride now and only ate a little so I didn't feel deprived and stayed on track with the exercise.
