  • You tube fitness blender. Variety of workouts with different lengths and fitness levels.
  • As a cardiology ICU nurse working primarily with HF patients, it is refreshing to see patients who are compliant with medications and lifestyle changes. It does make a difference. I do see patients that have issues even they follow all directions to a T. But I know how difficult it is to follow low sodium, low fluids, when…
  • Drink more water. (Unless you have a medical condition to retain water, then you should contact your doctor.)
  • I do the 100 cal snack packs of cocoa almonds. If I buy the large packs, I usually end up eating way over my snack calorie goal.
  • I liked Enell for absolutely zero bounce, plus it fastened in the front, so it was easy to get off. The problem was it did not breathe at all. I would wear it on long runs- I actually chafed and got sores on my breast from this- not fun. Now I wear the Panache bra and love it.

  • Bolthouse dressing- avocado cilantro!! I eat spinach salads at least 4 days per week. Love it! I usually put a protein- either turkey pepperoni mini's (don't judge!) or chicken or steak (but usually less that 2 oz, mozzarella cheese, shredded carrots, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, peas, and a few croutons. For dressing I…
  • My brother was diagnosed type one a few years ago at age 33. He was already thin, and had lost probably 40 pounds- single guy who never went to e Doctor. He finally went, thinking maybe he had something wrong (cancer) from losing a lot of weight and peeing all the time at night. He was admitted with DKA and A1C of 18. He…
  • Siggi! It is not Greek, it is Icelandic. But it is awesome, most favors are lower in sugar, and it is made from skim milk. My fave is coconut, but it is harder to find. I also like vanilla and strawberry and blueberry. I also like choboni flips, and the choboni pinapple- but I don't eat the pinnacle off the bottom.
  • I got a vivofit for Christmas-- feel free to add me, my username is the same as on MFP.
  • Flip belt- it is a stretchy spandex type belt that fits snug around you hips or waist- way better than a bra or armband.
  • If you want some good treadmill interval workouts, check out "The ultimate treadmill workout" book by David Siik. He also has developed treadmill group classes at Equinox. In his intervals, your max speed would be the fastest you can run in one minute. Each workout varies in interval time (30 sec- 2 minutes, and speed 2…
  • My fave kind of yogurt is Siggi Icelandic style yogurt..... It is called skyr. It is high and protein and low in sugar. They use agave nectar in some of the favors to sweeten. I don't think it is available in Europe. But look for skyr type yogurt. Kefir is good too.

  • I love green tea and any citrus flavor or notes in the tea. I usually have 2-3 cups of green tea a day. It doesn't necessarily help with weight loss. But it does replace my latte and coffe with lots of creamer habit.
  • I recently got a panache, which I really like. Mine is a little lower cut than I would have liked, but I probably should have gone up a cup size. It is really supportive and keeps them from bouncing when I run. I had an Enell, which was great- nothing moved whatsoever, and it fastened in front. The problem was the material…
  • Website says cost is $28.99. I love it! I have recommended it to patients who needed place to put insulin pumps when exercising. I use it when gardening outside too.
  • I don't use an armband. I use the flip belt. It is really awesome. It is a spandexy stretchy material belt thing that you pull on and wear over your waist or hips. It has slots in the material that you can stick your phone, keys, etc. They come in many colors. I would just control my music volume and song from my earbud…
  • I'd like to be added to the group. I am 40 and have two kids- 10yo and 7yo. I am 5'4 and weigh 178 (down 10 pounds now). I don't fit in any of my clothes, even my scrubs are tight! I am an RN- cardiac ICU and cardiac clinic. I finally dusted off my treadmill in the basement and am doing a running interval program. I would…
