I totally understand your post -- I do the same... go all day only to sabotage my plan in the evening -- cravings. It is usually ice cream but, if I start to eat something sweet (cake, cookie, candy....) I binge. I haven't ever tried watching the sugar grams through MFP -- I will have to try that and see if I can hold…

When I do the Scooby calculator it tells me to strive for 1800+ in calories...... I will try the decrease and see if that does help. It took so long to change my mentality of eating more but, clearly, not working.

I should have noted I do use a scale and try to log based on oz or kg when possible. I also drink 96+ oz of water each day and I don't drink pop...my other drink is a peach tea crystal light at night. You are not alone -- another newbie here. I have increased my calories and add weights to my routine. I am about 2 weeks into this -- patience is going to be key. I was expecting results already (ha). I do feel better and my scale hasn't gone up (knock on wood) or down but, I am optimistic.

WELCOME!! I am just trying the EM2LW and excited about it. I mention it for you because of your time frame and the great examples people have of losing and toning because they do heavy weights. You would surly see results before your trip. Envy you taking a vacation -- sounds wonderful!!! Good luck!!
