  • I felt the exact same way as you. Chances are noone is watching like you think they are :) Also, if I wasn't sure about an exercise or machine and didn't want to look silly I googled it and sometimes watched youtube instruction videos before I hit the gym. I also ALWAYS go into the gym with my training book where I lay out…
  • I am also working with a coach. It also took a lot of thought before I did so but it is worth it to me as well. They can see the things in my physique that I can't and target different muscle groups when necessary. My coach is also doing my nutrition and his texts, encouragement and help are priceless to me.
  • This is all great advice- thank you so much :) I know there ARE other options I just want to stick to what my coach says 100% I suppose I could have asked for a substitute but I thought I would give it a shot
  • I am dreaming of pizza for sure! lol
  • Hopefully with time I will get used to it :)
  • You're right- maybe I am going down the wrong path by trying to add "fluff" hahahaha Ive never been a huge egg fan. I may try boiling some tonight and eating them that way tomorrow without the yolks.
  • No salt- pepper would be fine. I will use coconut oil and adjust fats throughout the day if he ok's it. I know he said adding peppers or hot sauce is fine..... maybe if it is spicy enough I won't notice the whites lol I'm dreading the day I have to take egg whites on the go....... eating them cold sounds even WORSE! Do…
  • For those just getting into competitions- I decided I wanted to see what went on backstage so i volunteered to help the tanning company at a show this upcoming weekend. They said they would love the help so I get to be there ALL day, I am so excited to see first hand what happens. I know it will help me get ready for a show
  • I would say, if at all possible go see a show with the organization you will be competing with, it's a real eye opener :) You can do this and it will be so worth it :)
  • I am definitely in training for competition. If I cannot compete in a November show I am going to work through the off season and prepare for the Spring. I booked a photoshoot in November so I stick to my goals show or not. This is one of the hardest things I have ever done. The training is hard but makes me feel great. I…
  • How is everyone doing? I have been working like h*ll and I'm still not sure about November. I have 59 days but I am not sure if I am comfortable yet (does that make sense) I want to be very confident and sure I am in the best shape to do a competition. I feel completely overwhelmed to say the least. Do I just keep pushing…
  • May I ask what your body fat was sitting at? I am currently sitting in what feels like the same situation. I am working my butt off for November but I am killing myself. Not sure if I need to take a step back or push harder than ever. I have been thinking about this a lot. I keep telling myself I will be devastated if I…
  • I am working my butt off to do one too. If I am not ready in 3 months I will be doing a competition in 7 months as well. I would love to have people to talk to along the way. I find the dieting for it VERY hard, probably the hardest part. I think this is a great idea.
  • Not to sound like a nerd ut I have researched a lot of comps in my area and the majority of winners wore a blue or green suit- I will be buying a blue suit :) LOL Just thought that was some fun info for you
  • divaexchange is another one although I think the site is under maintenance
  • If I worked my a** off to prep for a show and passed out or got sick due to a diuretic I would never get over it- if you can do without it, don't even try
  • I read about a girl who passed out on stage after a bad reaction to a diuretic :(
  • this is very helpful, thank you
  • I would absolutely LOVE to be able to go to this. I am so jealous. There is no way I can fly there at that time though :(
