Hello all! Kind of off to a slow start. Did get a little bit of exercise in. Had hoped to go walking at lunch - but didn't have a lunch! I've been very good staying off sugar AND wheat. I gave away the unhealthy snacks and candy in my desk drawer today. Only nuts and yogurt and fresh fruit now. I have to find a way to…

Hi all! My name is Lindy and I live in Portland, Oregon. I am a nurse and 4 months ago started a job as a resident care manager in a LT care facility. This means lots of sitting in front of a computer. Before that I was a nurse educator. I have a 17 year old son (just!), and a 14 year old daughter - both wonderful kids. I…

Hello. My name is Lindy and I am in Milwaukie, Oregon. I am 54, soon to be 55, mother of 2 high school aged kids. I am a nurse, but spend most of my day sitting at a computer. I lost 40 pounds here 5 years ago, and hope to repeat that success again. I joined back up with my local gym, but haven't been motivated to go.…

Ok. Gonna try this!

Hello - New to this board. Back on MFP after 1 year. My word(s) for March. Just do it! Sounds cliché, I know, but I can't seem to get myself motivated to do anything! Joined back at the Gym last week. Haven't gone. Got a couple of fitness apps. Haven't used them. Food? Don't get me started. I lost 50 pounds with MFP 5…

Just restarted again last week. I'm trying to catch up with my hubby as well.

I'm also 53 and need encouragement. Today is my first day back after quite a while, and quite a few more pounds! I'm Lindy.

Hey! I'm 5'8" and this is my second time doing MFP. I did it 2 and 1/2 years ago when my goal was 150 by 50, and even though I didn't make it, I came pretty close. I started off at 195 and got down to 165, ran for the first time in my life and even completed 2 5k's and a sprint triathalon. But then I started to get really…

That is such a great story! It's very difficult to get motivated and stay motivated when you have chronic health problems. Great job - and you look fantastic in both the before and after pictures.

Great job! One hole = a big victory!

Wow! You have come a long way in a short period of time! I always think it's going to take forever to lose the weight, but then I see all these wonderful success stories, like yours, and I'm so inspired and not afraid to keep at it!
-
Great job! Are you and your husband doing this together?
-
You are looking great! Keep at it!

Yup - been down this road before as well. I'm 51 and looking to get healthy and happy again. I could definitely use any encouragement you all have!

Hey Melissa! I'm Lindy and am 51 years old. I have two kids 14 and 11. I did this two years ago to get fit for turning 50 - which was successful, but I've gained my weight back. Looking this time to take it off and keep it off. Went back to the gym today for the first time for what I hope will become an everyday occurance!

Great idea! My NSV happened this week. I was able to pull my size 16 jeans off - without unbuttoning them!
