So I got diagnosed with Fatty Liver about July and was told I needed to loose weight or worry about getting strokes or heart attacks. I've been pretty much overweight all my life I have always been somewhat comfortable with my weight but even though from time to time I was motivated I never stuck at it long enough to keep on going so with this news I thought it's time to get in there and get this done once and for all.
I have to say alot of this was due to my now Fiance (proposed on Wednesday
) for her support and keeping me motivated and staying strong with me through all this.
It was very hard cause throughout the entire time I had to give up 2 things permanently.
* Pizza (particularly dominos it is good here in england)
* Alcohol (not an alkie but I do like to have a drink now and then)
Which hurt alot to me cause I loved them so much. However, I stuck with it and kept at it.
I started with the dieting and my dad gave me some information about what I should be eating for fatty liver so I replaced white bread and rice with brown rice and only had white meat on chicken instead of dark for the most part.
I only had beef/pork every 2 months and I tried to exercise often. The weight was going by quite decently as I exercised 4 times a week (3 on weekdays 1 on sunday where I jogged outside).
Then I got my bike which I used to ride to work, it wasn't a great bike still isn't (I'm saving up for a much better one) but it gets me where I need to be and saves me alot of money transport wise but on top of that it gave me a great cardio workout as it takes me 45-50 minutes to get to work and back home each day not including if I need to go to a clients place ( I work in IT).
After I got the bike it massively helped with that, not only that as I was loosing weight my asthma was flaring up as much and I also didn't snore anymore (Fran probably appreciates that more then me haha). I was really feeling good and enjoying the jogging till I over didi t and messed up my ankle which pained me alot as I loved jogging however I could still bike so it wasn't so bad.
After getting down the weight I went to schedule an appointment with the ultra sound and the fatty liver has been greatly reduced which is great (it will never go away I already expected that). However, even though it's reduced like that I still can't drink like I use to which is a shame however at least I can drink now so I can't complain but only 3 cups every 4 months. Plus I can have pizza now (which I assure you I thoroughly enjoyed) I try limit myself to that every 2 months though but I do have beef more often now.
Even though I've lost the weight I'm going to stick to eating healthy still but now I will be working on building up muscle now which was my goal after loosing the weight.
Generally what I ate for the months:
First 3 months(1800 cal or less):

Corn flakes (eventually had bran flakes)
