I really need this challenge! This is probably my biggest downfall when it comes to weight loss. I will begin today, June 4.

That's what I do...I log my strength training under cardio.....I researched on how many calories are burned depending on what weight/strength training exercise I am doing.....I have this info saved....so on the days I do strength training, I log it under cardio....hope this helps out....

Sian, So many of us are currently in "your shoes" or have been there.....I have been inspired by reading all of the replies to your post. this all sounds so much like me! I am on and off....I get so disappointed in myself! I need a support group of folks who understand the ups and downs of this weight loss journey!

I'm from the Dallas, TX area....and I need a kick in the booty myself to get myself back to exercising. I've been good with my eating and so I have lost a little weight since the holidays...But I need to get off the couch and back to exercising...when it's cold outside I just don't want to do much of anything! Former Marine....well, "once a Marine, always a Marine"! My weight came on after getting out and it's been a struggle ever since! Let's be friends! Being a Marine, knowing how we are trained and what's instilled in us through bootcamp and our time in The Corps, it's very hard dealing with being overweight......Semper Fi!
-
Marine.....(Semper FI fellow Marines!)....when I got out was when my weight started creeping up! It's hard to deal with..Marines are suppose to be "lean, mean, fighting machines!"....but this Marine ain't so lean anymore..:(...but I'm fighting to get back in shape and lose this extra weight.
-
Great Job! You inspire me! My weight loss is very slow but I will not give up!
-
Welcome back! I am bad about getting and off MFP myself. This is a good place to be on our journey of weight loss...we always know where to come back too for motivation and support! I wish you all the best! Let's stay on track and on MFP!

I've been in "your shoes"...so many of us that struggle with weight loss do get depressed and unmotivated...but like others have said already...You have taken the first steps by being here and also admitting being depressed and not motivated. You need to some "self-talk"...You can do this....little by little....Get on that…

I do! I'm on a good routine during the work week and then weekends are busy and crazy and I just can't seem to stay focused and on track like I do during the weekdays. It is a huge challenge for me! I don't get totally out of control with my eating but I'm not as good as I shoud be....
