  • I have felt better and seen that I am more active since about week two. I have also seen some other changes such as my skin, cravings, and other things. My father has type II diabetes and I think I was starting to seen signs of having it but never went to the doctor to find out. Some of those symptoms have gone away which…
  • I will be starting on Monday also. I will have my husband as my motivation and my Drill Instructor. I am sure he will not have a hard time motivating me as I am one of those people who has a hard time staying motivated. I start but find every excuse in the book not to keep going. Good luck to you and feel free to add me as…
  • I am in Corinth. I see your id is GreenBayDiva are you from Wisconsin?
  • If you want to join the Navy or any other branch talk to them about a fitness program they have. I joined the Marine Corps and spent 10 years in it. They would take those individuals who did not meet the weight requirments out and exercise with them to get them within their weight requirments. Check with the local…
  • Thank you I needed that laugh. I was dancing in my chair while reading. Brings back memories.
  • One thing that may be causing this is possibly your hormone levels. If you can have them tested to see if they are in the normal ranges. Sometimes with changes in your diet and exercise it can cause an imbalance in hormones which may also cause these effects. Also get as much sunlight as possible and add vitamins to your…
  • I lost about 25 pounds in high school which was back in the late 80's. Then gained alot of weight after I got out of the Marine Corps and had two children. I started trying to lose weight last year lost 22 pounds then my mother died and gained back 10 pounds back and now I am trying to get back into the swing of things to…
  • Christine, You can add me if you would like. I have been on a hiatus for a while and just got back on. So I know the feeling. The only thing you can do is keep plugging away and if it works it works but it will only work if you want it to.
  • I sure hope this guy was not overweight himself otherwise I would have asked him if he was pregnant and then I would have told him the same thing. I don't think I could have been as nice as you were. You could have told him to go pack sand. Then order your food and eat it later. Wjat a jerk!
  • I have 2 boys (12, 5) and my husband finally gave me a girl 2 years ago.

  • Originally from Wisconsin. Lived in California for 8 years. Now in Texas.
  • One word that drives me crazy is when guys refer to their girlfriends or wives as chicks "my chick". I know I don't have feathers and a beak. Then there is a phrase, "I know, Right?" Makes me think of someone who lacks intelligence.
  • I have been an on again and off again couponer. I have found several websites that you can attach your rewards card to and just click on the coupons to add them to that. Unfortunately the coupons attached to your card will not be doubled or tripled. There are several other websites that will tell you which week a specific…

  • I know the last time I visited my parents they were making alot of meat and potato dishes. My parents love steak and potatoes with all of the fixings (butter, sour cream). I would have a large salad and very little of the potato and some of the steak. My dad got angry that I was not eating enough. I told him I was getting…
  • I ahve not started my list yet so I could not even tell you what is on mine. I have to wait until the hubby comes home so he can tell me what he needs and wants then I fill in the blanks with mine and the kids. Mostly fruits and veggies though.
  • I did not know they gave you a discount for using your own cup. Thanks for the info. Also I love your profile pic. I remember seeing my husband in his Dress Blues. They always look great. If only I fit into mine. I will some day.
  • Lately I have been getting a grande iced carmel macchiato skinny. I get one Starbucks drink a week and that is when I go grocery shopping and I am by myself. That way I don't have to share with the kids or spend an arm and a leg for each of them to have their own drinks. Call me selfish or cheap. I don't care. it is my…
  • I know the feeling. I have a husband who is trying to gain weight however he does eat alot of healthy foods. If he brings the food in then maybe at that time you could take a little time for yourself and go for a walk or some other form of exercise as a reminder to yourself what your goal is. I would also ask him not to…
  • I will have to look at it later. Thank you.

  • Thanks for the link. I did watch it and I will take it into consideration. I think I am more concerned for my two kids that I will have in tow. Thank you again.
  • I will probably have to make 2 trays of them to feed my family and it sounds so good.
  • I realized that I have lost 21 pounds most of which was before one of my friends and workout partner in crime told me about MFP. Thank you Roberson30 for the great tip.
  • Soon to be 38 (June) and hoping to lose a good chunk of weight before then as I have my brothers wedding, class reunion, and my birthday all in that month. I would ultimately like to get to the weight I was before my 3 kids were born. In due time of course.

  • Just start back on your routine that you were doing before and brush it off. You can't go back and change it but you can move on to the future. I have been there and done that. It is hard to get back up and march on but you can do it.
