I've been trying to eat 5 meals of 500 cals, which is still a little less than the plan recommends. I dropped below this for a couple of days and did NOT have the energy i needed for the workouts. You do need LOTS of calories for Insanity too. According to their meal plan I need like 2900 to 3000 calories per day, which I thought was, well... INSANE! I have not been making my meals in advance, but i SHOULD! I feel like half of my day is spent making food. Luckily (or unluckily) I'm jobless for another couple of weeks otherwise I'd really be struggling.

I'm in. I've been up and down, and i'm currently up to almost 240 (male 6'0" 28) 50 would put me at 190, a good place to re-evaluate might need to get down to 180, not sure. I'm 28 and I want to be in shape before i'm in my 30s! No guys on here yet! had to break the ice. good luck everybody!

I noticed you and a couple others mention adding coffee in your breakfast. Is that supposed to be beneficial? get your metabolism going or something?
